Hope Foundation Wins 'Sustainable Project' at Human Act Prize

Hanoi At the 2023 Community Action Awards Ceremony, Hope Fund was honored in the category of "Sustainable Project".

The award was organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper, with the participation of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the coordination of VCCorp Joint Stock Company on the evening of December 11 at Ho Guom Theater. This is an activity to honor individuals and organizations that have made positive contributions to society through prestigious community initiatives and projects that bring long-term and sustainable results.

Here, Hope Fund was named in the category "Sustainable Project" - honoring the tireless efforts to bring long-term value and benefits to the community.

From nearly 130 entries, 35 projects made it to the final round, and the Jury selected 28 projects to present awards at the gala night. The Human Act Prize categories were evaluated based on criteria that ensured impact, sustainability, commitment, creativity, and community outreach.

Ms. Nguyen Xuan Tu, Executive Director of Hope Fund, shared that this award is a recognition of the fund's journey over the past time, on the roads to remote and isolated areas. "This is also the motivation for us to persevere with the mission of supporting difficult circumstances and creating momentum for social development. We all believe that good deeds need to be spread and multiplied, just like the Head of the award organizing committee shared that 'don't hesitate when doing good deeds, don't hesitate when spreading good stories in life'", Ms. Xuan Tu added.

After 6 years of operation, as of August 2023, the Hope Fund has built and repaired more than 130 degraded schools in remote and mountainous areas affected by natural disasters and floods; replaced more than 330 wooden plank bridges and degraded bridges with solid concrete bridges, helping students get to school safely; supported treatment and nutrition for 2,100 children with cancer, supported 5,000 households in floods, 7,700 difficult circumstances during Tet, 69,000 people in the epidemic area...

The Human Act Prize of Nhan Dan Newspaper was held for the first time in 2023 with the theme "Pioneering Imprint" including 7 categories: Community Ideas, Timely Projects, Promising Projects, Enduring Projects, Inspirational Projects, Sustainable Projects, Human Act Prize.
