During the high school graduation exam registration process, each candidate will receive an exam card/paper with a photo attached, stamped on the photo. The paper clearly states the candidate's personal information and exam location. Candidates need to carefully check the personal information on the card, if they find any incorrect details, they need to immediately notify the exam room supervisor for timely correction.
Candidates keep their exam card throughout the exam to present at the beginning of each exam session along with their ID card.
On the day of the exam, in case of losing or forgetting the exam card, citizen identification card and other necessary documents, the candidate must immediately report to the head of the exam site for consideration and handling. The exam council will handle the situation by requiring the candidate to make a commitment to take the exam.

According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, to prevent taking exams by others and taking exams for others, in addition to checking the candidates' identification documents when called into the exam room, during the exam, the exam supervisor still checks and compares the candidates' identification documents.
Regarding the issue of whether candidates can use VNeID instead of citizen identification card to complete exam procedures, a representative of the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training said that candidates are not allowed to use citizen identification card on VNeID to complete procedures for high school graduation exam and admission for the 2024 school year.
This year's high school graduation exam will take place on June 27-28 in 63 provinces and cities, with the participation of more than 1 million candidates nationwide. On June 27, candidates will take the Literature exam in the morning and Math in the afternoon. On June 28, candidates will take the Natural Science or Social Science exam in the morning and the Foreign Language exam in the afternoon. June 29 is the backup exam day.
There are 2,323 exam sites and 45,149 exam rooms nationwide. The provinces and cities with the most registered candidates include: Hanoi: 109,078 candidates; Ho Chi Minh City: 88,196 candidates; Thanh Hoa: 38,677 candidates. The provinces with the fewest registered candidates include: Kon Tum: 5,052 candidates; Lai Chau: 4,211 candidates; Bac Kan: 3,180 candidates.
Before the 2024 high school graduation exam, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, also emphasized that candidates who arrive late at the exam site but are still within the allowed time frame, the exam sites must still allow them to take the exam as usual. If they forget their identification documents or exam cards, candidates should not go home to get them but must go to the exam site and meet with the leaders to be considered for the exam. There is no need to be stressed, affecting their psychology.
