Talking to Dan Viet Newspaper reporter, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trung Dung, Admissions Assistant of Army Officer School 2 said: "This year, the school still stably uses 4 admission methods: Direct admission, priority admission and admission of excellent high school students; Admission based on the results of the capacity assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hanoi National University; Admission based on high school transcripts and Admission based on the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.
The school enrolls 493 students, a decrease of nearly 40 compared to last year. The preliminary selection period (health check, verification of political background of the individual and family) is from March 20 to May 20.

Sharing about the combination of subjects for admission when this year candidates only take 4 graduation exams and the methods of converting to a common score, according to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trung Dung, the generation of students born in 2007 taking the exam in 2025 will have some changes. One is the new curriculum, the way students are evaluated also follows the new Circular of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Besides, in the past, students were allowed to take 6 subjects, so the A00-A01 admission combination was more popular. Now, candidates are limited to taking only 4 subjects. That is also a difficulty for candidates during the admission process.
However, military schools in general and Army Officer School 2 in particular still keep the same methods and combinations, so there is no disruption for candidates applying for admission to the school.
"Candidates must register their first choice (highest choice) at a school in the Military sector right from the time of making the preliminary application (if the school has many training majors, candidates can only register for one major); candidates can register for the remaining choices at schools outside the Military.
Military schools only consider admission to military university and college training for candidates who have passed the preliminary selection, meet the standards prescribed by the Ministry of National Defense and register their first choice (highest choice) to the school," Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trung Dung noted to candidates.
Last year, the school's benchmark score for the 2024 high school graduation exam ranged from 23.75 to 25.24 points.

Enrollment in the Engineering Officer School and the Information Officer School in 2025
The Engineering Officer School and the Information Officer School recruited 196 and 318 students respectively, down 55 and 23. target

Military Technical Academy Admissions 2025
The Military Technical Academy announced that it will recruit 360 military students in 2025, a reduction of 180 compared to last year. The four admission methods of the Military Technical Academy include: direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of National Defense; consideration of excellent high school students; Competency assessment test scores organized by two national universities; High school graduation exam scores.
The Military Technical Academy has just announced that out of 360 military students this year, 180 will be sent abroad for training, an increase of 50 people.
In addition, 5 training quotas at non-military schools; 175 training quotas at the Academy, including 30 quotas for training 2 high-quality engineering majors: Information and Information Systems Security.
The school recruits students nationwide, with two groups A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry) and A01 (Math, Physics, English). Last year, the Military Technical Academy's benchmark score ranged from 25.46 to 27.71 based on high school graduation exam results. Of which, the highest benchmark score was for female candidates in the North.
Previously, many military schools also announced plans to recruit civilian students after many years of suspension.
