Quang Ngai supports Lao students with the highest level of over 7 million VND/month

(Dan Tri) - Quang Ngai province has a policy to support students from the Lao People's Democratic Republic studying at schools in the province. The highest support level is over 7 million VND/month.


On March 21, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province informed about the policy to support Lao students studying at colleges and universities or participating in training courses in the province, which was approved by the Provincial People's Council.

For short-term training programs, each Laotian student will receive training cost support of more than 7 million VND/month. In addition, each student will also receive living cost support of 6.7 million VND/month and more than 4.6 million VND/course to buy study and living supplies.

For long-term training programs, each month, international students will receive 3.3 million VND in training costs and more than 4.7 million VND in living expenses. For each course, international students in the long-term training program will receive 5.8 million VND to buy study and living supplies.

In recent times, Quang Ngai province and Lao localities have carried out many practical and effective cooperation activities, including receiving and training Lao students.

Since 2008, universities and colleges in Quang Ngai province have trained about 800 Lao students, of which more than 270 are on scholarships.
