Focus on investment and infrastructure development in difficult areas

Tuyen Quang province has 121 communes in ethnic minority areas, of which 570 are extremely disadvantaged villages. According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, in the period of 2021 - 2025, from the capital source of the assigned National Target Programs, especially the National Target Program 1719, the province has supported investment in the construction of 600 infrastructure works to serve production, exchange of goods, and people's daily life, of which 80% is invested in developing infrastructure in disadvantaged areas.

Phai Da Bridge, Chieu Yen Commune, Yen Son District is invested according to Resolution No. 55 of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Council.

Accordingly, Tuyen Quang has invested in 178 traffic works, 27 irrigation works, 9 school and classroom works, 3 rural electricity works, 12 domestic water works, 15 bridge works, 30 auxiliary works, renovated and newly built 10 market works, 70 community activity houses. Supported loans to create land for production and career conversion for 249 households, with a total capital of more than 40 billion VND...

Identifying "traffic goes first to pave the way", Tuyen Quang province has devoted many resources to investing in upgrading key traffic routes, building connecting bridges to act as a driving force for regional economic development and improving the lives of ethnic minorities. Many difficult regional connecting routes have been invested in. Typically, upgrading and repairing roads DH18 and DH07 through Minh Thanh commune (Son Duong); upgrading Phuc Thinh - Trung Ha - Ban Ba ​​road (Chiem Hoa); upgrading and renovating the road from the beginning of Ne bridge to Na Hang high school (Na Hang); upgrading and renovating DT.188 route from Km48 + 00 - Km86 + 300, Chiem Hoa district, Lam Binh district; Traffic route project from Tan Long commune - Tan Tien - Trung Truc (Dinh Muoi) - Kien Thiet commune (Yen Son); Bach Xa bridge (Ham Yen)...

Along with upgrading and renovating major roads, the province continues to implement the Project on concreting rural roads and building bridges on rural roads in the period of 2021 - 2025. By the end of 2024, the whole province has built nearly 1,000km of rural and intra-field roads and 161 bridges on rural roads, ensuring that 99.94% of villages and hamlets have car roads to the center. Complete the goal of asphalting and concreting 100% of roads from the district center to the commune center; will complete the goal of 100% of villages and hamlets in the province having car roads to the center in 2025.

Leaders of Tuyen Quang province inspected the investment project from the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in Khuon Lan village, Tri Phu commune (Chiem Hoa).

Recorded in Binh Phu commune, Chiem Hoa district, the road from Phu Lam village to the commune center is now open. This is one of 5 traffic works in the commune that have been invested in; the completed roads help people to conveniently travel and transport agricultural products.

In addition to infrastructure investment, the commune also supports job conversion, domestic water, and housing. Benefiting from the Program since the beginning of 2024, Binh Phu commune has 5 households supported with housing, 12 households with job conversion, and 45 households supported with scattered domestic water. Currently, the whole commune still has 290 poor households, the average poverty rate has decreased by 9.2%/year according to the poverty standard for the period 2021-2025, the appearance of agriculture is increasingly improving.

Mr. Phung Van Thanh, Head of Phu Lam village, Binh Phu commune (Chiem Hoa) shared: "The village has 104 households, 465 people, 95% of whom are Dao ethnic people. Up to now, the village's infrastructure is relatively complete, traffic is convenient, cultural houses and schools have been built spaciously, meeting all the needs of life, everyone is happy".
