District 1 applies virtual assistant to help people handle administrative procedures

On the afternoon of September 10, District 1 People's Committee and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications signed a plan to coordinate the implementation of digital transformation tasks for the 2024-2025 period.

Accordingly, the two sides will coordinate on the following contents: deploying a pilot model for electronic licensing; implementing a pilot model for smart kiosks and virtual assistants; building a data warehouse for District 1 on a map of Ho Chi Minh City; deploying solutions to ensure network information security; and deploying a set of indicators to evaluate digital transformation at the ward level.

The two sides will deploy a unified digitalization process and issue electronic licenses on the basis of the administrative procedure settlement information system of Ho Chi Minh City; reuse data, and not require people to resubmit digitized documents stored in the Ho Chi Minh City citizen data warehouse.

At the same time, piloting the Smart Kiosk model and virtual assistant application to help guide and support people in handling administrative procedures at the one-stop department; piloting virtual assistants to serve civil servants in District 1.

With the content "Building a District 1 data warehouse on the map of Ho Chi Minh City", we will deploy a District 1 data warehouse integrated with connectivity on the Ho Chi Minh City map platform; deploy an information exploitation system to serve socio-economic development in District 1.

The Department of Information and Communications also supports the People's Committee of District 1 in preparing a proposal for the level and fully implementing the protection plan according to the proposal for the level for the district's information systems. The two sides also develop and implement a set of indicators to assess digital transformation at the ward level; deploy a system and process to assess the level of digital transformation for wards in District 1.

The coordination plan between the two sides aims to concretize and effectively implement the plan of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to implement the program "Digital transformation of Ho Chi Minh City" and the Project "Building Ho Chi Minh City into a smart city" by 2024. Gradually create open data for all business activities, use digital data for the activities, management and operation of the District People's Committee, contributing to maintaining and improving the digital transformation index of District 1.

At the same time, strengthen coordination between the Department of Information and Communications and the People's Committee of District 1 in state management of digital transformation, with connection and synchronization between digital programs and platforms implemented by Ho Chi Minh City in the locality.
