Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's wife and Singaporean Prime Minister's wife experience bag collage and enjoy snacks while visiting Van Phuc silk village in Hanoi.

Ms. Le Thi Bich Tran, wife of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and Ms. Ha Tinh, wife of Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, visited Van Phuc silk village in Hanoi on the afternoon of August 28.
This is part of the official visit of Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his wife Ho Tinh from August 27-29, at the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

The two ladies visited the facility of Vun Art, a cooperative established in 2017, specializing in transforming folk paintings into fabric paintings with members who are disabled. Vun Art currently has 35 disabled workers.

Mr. Le Viet Cuong, founder of Vun Art, introduces the working process at the cooperative.
The raw materials for the mosaics are discarded fabric scraps from tailors, especially Van Phuc silk. Disabled workers use these scraps to create artistic paintings.

Ms. Le Thi Bich Tran and Ms. Ha Tinh experienced collage on fabric under the guidance of the staff.

The Singaporean Prime Minister's wife also shared her experiences working with autistic people. "We have to break the work down into very small steps, guiding them through each stage with illustrations," she said.

The two ladies held bags with paintings of tourist symbols of the two countries, including the Rooster and Hen Islet in Ha Long Bay and the Merlion Park in Singapore.

In addition to the mosaic experience, the two ladies also enjoyed Hanoi snacks such as green rice flakes, moon cakes, stuffed sausage candy, pork rolls, and peanut candy.

Mrs. Ha Tinh enjoys green rice and listens to an introduction on how to make this dish.

Mr. Le Viet Cuong presented a painting of the orchid "Papilionanda Pham Le Tran Chinh" to the wife of the Prime Minister of Singapore. This is the orchid species that Singapore named after Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife during their visit earlier this year.

The two ladies took a photo with members of the Vun Art cooperative.
