On March 21, in Tien Giang, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) held a ceremony to announce the decision to establish and launch SBV Region 13.
State Bank of Vietnam Region 13 Branch includes 4 provinces: Tien Giang, Long An, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh. State Bank of Vietnam Region 13 Headquarters is located in Tien Giang.
Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong has awarded decisions to appoint directors, deputy directors, department heads, and deputy department heads of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 13 from March 1.
Accordingly, the State Bank of Vietnam has assigned and appointed Mr. Pham Minh Tu, Deputy Director of the Banking Strategy Institute, to hold the position of Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 Branch.
The Deputy Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 13 are Ms. Nguyen Thi Dam, Director of the State Bank of Vietnam Tien Giang Branch; Mr. Le Van Hai, Director of the State Bank of Vietnam Tra Vinh Branch; Mr. Le Cong Thanh, Director of the State Bank of Vietnam Ben Tre Branch; Ms. Le Thi My Hien, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam Long An Branch.
State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 Branch, manages the operating network, as of the end of January 2025, of 96 credit institutions (including 36 banks, 59 people's credit funds and 1 CEP microfinance institution) with a network of 592 transaction points.
Of which, Long An has the largest number of credit institutions, followed by Tien Giang, Ben Tre, and Tra Vinh.
Implementing Resolution No. 18, the State Bank has basically completed the organizational arrangement, ensuring the correct progress and roadmap.
Regarding the State Bank branches in provinces and centrally run cities, the State Bank has completed the reorganization of 63 State Bank branches in provinces and cities into 15 regional State Bank branches, ensuring the implementation of state management, payment activities, monetary security, and treasury for the banking system.
