According to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE), Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Deputy General Director of Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank - HoSE: SSB) recently completed the sale of more than 7 million SSB shares by negotiation.
After the transaction, Ms. Huong reduced her ownership ratio at SeABank from 9.41 million shares (accounting for 0.38% of charter capital) to 2.41 million shares (accounting for 0.098% of charter capital) at this bank.
The transaction was made on October 4, so based on the market price of SSB shares on October 4, which was VND24,450/share, Ms. Huong earned more than VND171 billion from selling shares.
Ms. Huong's move to sell shares took place in the context of SSB's vertical decline since the peak of VND30,000/share in August. Accordingly, as of October 6, SSB shares had lost 23% of their market value, almost equivalent to the bottom in November 2022, shaking off all efforts of the stock since the beginning of the year.
On October 2, Mr. Vu Dinh Khoan - Deputy General Director of SeABank also sold 150,000 SSB shares to reduce ownership ratio by negotiation.

After the transaction, Mr. Khoan reduced his ownership ratio at SeABank from 5.47 million shares to 5.32 million shares, equivalent to 0.217%. Based on the market price of SSB shares on October 2, which was VND25,000/share, it is estimated that Mr. Khoan earned VND3.75 billion.
Previously, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quynh - Deputy General Director of SeABank sold more than 2.74 million shares of the bank. The transaction was conducted from September 20 to September 27 by order matching and negotiation.
After the transaction, Mr. Quynh reduced the number of shares owned from 7.46 million shares to 4.72 million shares, equivalent to an ownership ratio of 0.192%.
It is estimated that with the average closing price during the above trading period of VND26,158/share, Mr. Quynh could earn more than VND70 billion from the transaction.
In addition, two other deputy general directors of SeABank, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and Mr. Nguyen Tuan Cuong, also successfully sold more than 100,000 shares and earned nearly 3 billion VND.
In a related development, not long before the time when a series of leaders rushed to sell shares, there was also a change in the bank's senior personnel.
Accordingly, from August 1, Mr. Faussier Loic Michel Marc is no longer the General Director of SeABank. Instead, the bank appointed Mr. Le Quoc Long as Permanent Deputy General Director to hold the position of Acting General Director in charge of operations .
