On the afternoon of July 13, at Conference Center 25B (Thanh Hoa City), the first session of the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Thanh Hoa province, term 2024-2029, took place.

In the 2019-2024 term, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has closely followed the grassroots, proactively and successfully implemented the Resolution of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Thanh Hoa province, completing 12/12 set targets, with 2 targets exceeding the Resolution. The work of information, propaganda, mobilization, gathering, and uniting all classes of people, ethnic groups, and religions has gone into depth, achieving clear results. Campaigns and patriotic emulation movements continue to be innovated in a practical, effective direction, focusing on residential areas.

Activities for the poor, relief, and social security have been effectively implemented with many creative ways, mobilizing the maximum resources from organizations, individuals, businesses, and the kind, humane, and benevolent hearts of the community. The work of participating in Party and government building, supervision, and social criticism has been focused on with many innovations, recognized by the Party Committee, government, and people.

The content and methods of operation of the Fatherland Front at all levels have been innovated and deepened, thereby mobilizing a large number of people from all walks of life to participate in the activities of the Fatherland Front and its member organizations, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's political tasks.

In recognition of the achievements of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Thanh Hoa province in recent years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province was honored to receive the Emulation Flag from the Government for leading the emulation movement in 2023.
With the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", the Congress took place over 2 days, July 13 and 14, with the task of comprehensively assessing the situation and results of implementing the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2019-2024; pointing out the shortcomings, limitations and causes, drawing practical lessons; on that basis, determining the goals and building the action program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Thanh Hoa province for the term 2024-2029.

Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province Nguyen Hong Phong presented a report summarizing comments on amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX.
At the first session, delegates consulted to elect the Presidium and Secretariat of the Congress; approved the Program and Working Regulations of the Congress; and reported on the situation of delegates attending the Congress.
Delegates listened to the Report on synthesizing comments on amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 9th tenure, and the Report on synthesizing comments on the Draft Political Report of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to be submitted to the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; watched a documentary report on the results of the Front's work for the 2019-2024 term with the theme "Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front - the mark of a term" and some other important contents of the Congress.

Leaders of the Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province - a twin province of Thanh Hoa province - presented souvenirs and 100 million VND to support the Fund for the Poor of Thanh Hoa province to leaders of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province.

On July 14, the Congress continued its working program at Conference Center 25B.
