First working session, the 6th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Youth Union of Son La province, term 2024-2029

On October 2, at the Central Hall of Son La City, the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Son La Province, term 2024-2029, held its first working session. Attending were representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee; the Provincial Youth Union and 248 official delegates representing over 70,000 members and youth in the whole province.

With the theme "Son La Youth Pioneers - Volunteers - Creativity - Development", the Congress is tasked with assessing the implementation results of the Resolution of the 5th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2019 - 2024; determining the goals, tasks, and solutions for the Union's work and youth movements for the term 2024 - 2029; expanding the solidarity front, gathering youth; building a strong Union organization; strongly promoting the aspirations, bravery, pioneering, proactive, volunteering, and creative roles of the youth of all ethnic groups in the province; continuing to foster a generation of Son La youth with strong bravery and solid skills.

Comrade Lo Manh Cuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union of Vietnam spoke at the Congress.

At the first working session, delegates consulted to elect the Presidium and the Secretary of the Congress; approved the program and regulations of the Congress; the review report of the Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of Son La province, term V, 2019-2024; participated in the draft documents of the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Son La province, term 2024-2029; reported on the synthesis of comments on the draft documents of the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024-2029 and commented on the amendment of the Association's Charter.

Discussion forum on the topic "Son La youth create, start a business, get rich on their homeland".

The first session of the Congress also organized discussion forums on the theme of Son La Youth: Patriotism, beautiful living, dynamism, volunteering for community life; creativity, entrepreneurship, getting rich on the homeland; physical health, solid skills, pioneering digital transformation, proactive international integration. At the same time, consulted to elect the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union for the 6th term, 2024 - 2029 term; consulted to elect the Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union for the 6th term, 2024 - 2029 term; consulted to elect the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Youth Union for the 6th term, 2024 - 2029 term; disseminated some of the work contents of the Congress.

In the afternoon, the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province, term 2024-2029, will take place with many important contents. Son La Newspaper continues to update the program of the Congress on the Newspaper's publications and digital platforms.

Delegates visited the agricultural products and OCOP products booth of Son La youth.
