Training on protecting the Party's ideological foundation

DTO - On December 24, at the Provincial Trade Union Labor Culture House (Ward 1, Cao Lanh City), with the consent of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department organized a training conference on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2024.

Comrade Le Thi Kim Loan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department chaired the Conference. Attending the Conference were representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors; district and city Party Committees, Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee and over 400 delegates who are reporters and social opinion collaborators at the provincial level; leaders and officials in charge of propaganda work at all levels in the province.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Le Thi Kim Loan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department emphasized that the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints is the top priority in the work of Party building and rectification. On July 25, 2024, the Politburo issued Conclusion No. 89 on continuing to implement Resolution No. 35 of the 12th Politburo on "Strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the new situation".

Comrade Le Thi Kim Loan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department delivered the opening speech at the Conference.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department stated that in Dong Thap province, in recent times, the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation has been organized and implemented synchronously and focusedly by Party committees and relevant forces, achieving many positive results. The organization of the Conference aims to foster and update knowledge related to the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, identifying a number of key tasks that need to be focused on according to Conclusion No. 89 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 35 of the 12th Politburo. Thereby, creating unity in perception and action, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the province in the coming time. At the same time, delegates are requested to seriously and actively participate in speaking to clarify the contents of the training and apply them more effectively to the activities of agencies, units and localities.

Comrade Dinh Van Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department informed the topic "Experience in handling issues related to culture, literature and art contributes to improving the effectiveness of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints"

At the Conference, delegates listened to the reporters convey the content of 4 topics: "Current situation of democracy and human rights issues in Vietnam; tasks and solutions to handle democracy and human rights issues associated with protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views"; "Current situation of ethnic, religious and belief issues in Vietnam; tasks and solutions to handle ethnic, religious and belief issues associated with protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views"; "Experience in handling issues related to culture, literature and art contributes to improving the effectiveness of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views"; Implement Conclusion No. 89 dated July 25, 2024 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 35 of the 12th Politburo on "Strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation".

Colonel Tran Van Hien - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command informed about some solutions to handle ethnic, religious and belief issues associated with protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

The contents deployed at the Conference have contributed to fostering, updating knowledge, raising awareness, sense of responsibility, and training skills for reporters, social opinion collaborators, and related forces in performing the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views, especially those related to issues of democracy, human rights, ethnicity, religion, belief, culture, literature and art.
