The insurance company said that during the direct exchange, Meritorious Artist Kim Tu Long raised questions related to information, updating contact information, payment reminders, and the process of consultants serving his insurance contract.
According to the announcement from the insurance company, customer HKL (artist Kim Tu Long) paid the full fee, was reminded and collected directly by the consultant from the first to the third year. However, in the fourth year, the consultant tried to contact to remind and collect the fee "but unfortunately was unsuccessful".
Although the company has not received the fee, the insurance contract has a surrender value. Therefore, to continue to maintain its validity and ensure full insurance benefits for customers, the contract is automatically renewed by the company with a three-month premium payment and deducted from the surrender value according to regulations.
In the 5th year, because the refund value was not enough to continue paying for the next period, artist Kim Tu Long's insurance contract became invalid according to regulations.
The company said that it had contacted Kim Tu Long via the confirmed and registered phone number and residential address, regarding payment of fees and insurance contract status, but was unsuccessful.
Up to now, after 5 years since the date the insurance contract became invalid, the company has not been able to resolve Kim Tu Long's request to refund all paid insurance premiums or restore the contract's validity because this is beyond the regulations and operating principles that the company is required to comply with.
Through the conversation, the company acknowledged the male artist's comments to improve service quality, serving with the best satisfaction in the future.
Previously, when answering VTC News reporters, Meritorious Artist Kim Tu Long confirmed that he and the insurance company had just had a meeting on May 8. However, the two could not find a common voice. Due to frustration with the insurance company's handling of the matter, he left in the middle of the meeting.
Regarding the insurance company saying that they "tried to contact them but were unsuccessful", Kim Tu Long indignantly asserted: "They are lying! If they insist like that, I am ready to hold a press conference with the company to "have a three-sided argument".
The consultant is also an acquaintance of mine. In the first 3 years, this person still gave enthusiastic advice, even came to my house to collect insurance premiums. However, later they told me that they had quit their job, so I contacted the company directly. But why did the company now turn around and say that this person did not quit and tried to contact me but failed? This was not a mistake but a calculation.
I am Kim Tu Long, not some unknown person. That's why you can't use the excuse of not being able to contact me. This is completely absurd!".
Kim Tu Long said that he will consider this a lesson for life and affirmed that he will never buy more insurance from this company.
