What is more noteworthy is that Meritorious Artist Hoai Linh is the director with Minh Nhat, a fairly familiar young director.

The Tet play is called "Spring... is it bad yet" (author Nhu Truc), directed by People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau as artistic advisor.

Identified as a comedy, with laughter from beginning to end, the story of neighborly love, compatriotism, joy and sharing is the theme that Hoai Linh aims for in the launch of his first play.

That is why the play brings together a cast of comedians loved by the audience, among them are a few young stars of the stage such as: Hong Trang, Nam Thu, Quach Ngoc Tuyen... Besides the young faces: Phuc Zelo, Tat Dieu Hang, Huynh Tien Khoa, Kha Son, Cong Huy, Tan Eagle, Steven Nguyen, Khanh Hoc... What is more important is that Hoai Linh wants to convey many humane messages in laughter.

After Hoai Linh attended a directing class at the Center for Arts Development of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association, specifically taught by People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau, the theater world expected him to release many good plays. Because with the time he has been in the profession, his experience in comedy acting allows him to apply it to staging, especially helping young actors shine.

Two years ago, appearing as Mr. Tai in the play "Lost in the Sea of ​​People" at the National Drama Festival held in early 2022 gave Meritorious Artist Hoai Linh great motivation to carry out many new projects.

The jury of the National Drama Festival that year highly appreciated and awarded the Gold Prize to the role of Mr. Tai by Meritorious Artist Hoai Linh. Although it was only a supporting role, he acted very delicately, highlighting the upright, humorous and passionate personality of a landlord in a poor working-class neighborhood.

As for Meritorious Artist Hoai Linh, after receiving the affection of the majority of readers of Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper when seeing him return to the stage. He has been attached to director Minh Nhat and this time once again accompanied the scriptwriter Nhu Truc, director Minh Nhat, and art advisor People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau, to launch the Tet play "Xuan...du chua".

In fact, at that time, Hoai Linh only wanted to take a supporting role to support the young actor attending the festival, but unexpectedly won the gold medal.

In 2024, at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Festival, the theater community expects Hoai Linh to participate as a director and actor, bringing new momentum to the comedy stage.
