Meritorious Artist Hoai Linh's health after metastatic thyroid cancer

Artist Hoi Hoai Linh said he has metastatic thyroid cancer, has to take medication regularly, and has to live with dementia.

Hoai Linh attracted attention as a special guest at the launch of the project of young singer MingJi. The male artist revealed that his health is now more stable.

"Now I only act in movies and perform comedy in the provinces. It's almost Tet so I'm busy practicing Tet plays to serve people," he said.

Hoai Linh rarely appeared to support singer MingJi.

Hoai Linh said that he currently feels that he is no longer suited to game shows, so he rarely accepts to participate. He does not do much and has reduced his workload. In addition, Hoai Linh has just completed a live show to celebrate his 30th year of career.

The male artist admitted that he was very shy about appearing at entertainment events because he had to comb his hair, buy clothes... However, he wanted to come to support MingJi because of their close relationship over the past 6 years. Moreover, because he had been in the profession himself, he had an understanding for his junior.

When he received his junior's invitation, he was a bit hesitant but still decided to come to support. Seeing MingJi's potential, he gave advice and motivated the singer to pursue music.

“I like lyrical folk music, not pop music, but I support artists who are my younger siblings and grandchildren releasing products. Because I know that for a young person to overcome adversity and release a well-prepared product, it takes a lot of effort,” Hoai Linh shared.

As for Singer MingJi, he said he not only admires Hoai Linh's talent but also appreciates the way he treats older artists or teaches and supports young people new to the profession.

Talking about the newly released MV Signal , he said that this is a composition by musician Do Hieu. The male singer invited runner-up Tuong San (2nd runner-up of Miss International Transgender 2024) to play the female lead. The two have a passionate kiss scene in the MV.

With the return product, he listened and received sincere comments to edit it to make it as perfect as possible for the audience.

MingJi also revealed that he is a die-hard fan of the show Anh Trai Say Hi. Thanks to the show, he felt his passion for the profession return once again. The male singer felt pressured by his peers. However, MingJi believes that it is never too late, so he always tries to make the most perfect product possible.

MingJi's real name is Tran Minh Tri, born in 1997 and has participated in many artistic activities such as singer, model, and actor. Before debuting as a singer with the MV Signal, MingJi collaborated with Quang Hung MasterD in the mini album Memory in 2016.

With a height of 1.86m, MingJi challenged himself with the role of a model, being selected to perform in Vietnam International Fashion Week, Vietnam Runway Fashion Week. However, he gradually disappeared from the entertainment industry due to the incident of his mother's death. His mother was his only support, so her passing made MingJi depressed and he temporarily stopped his artistic activities for a while.
