Joy at the frontier

After the rain and wind, the tornado on May 23, 2023, the roof of the house of Ms. Pu Riu Thi Ngach's family in Ba Lach village, Lam Dot commune, A Luoi district was blown off; the family did not have the means, so they had to use old tarpaulins to cover it. Economic-Defense Group 92, in coordination with local forces, supported the family to buy all proximang tiles, materials and mobilized forces to re-roof the entire house, helping Ms. Ngach's family quickly stabilize their lives.

“The house was completely damaged after the tornado, my poor family had no money to repair it; fortunately, the 92nd Military Economic Group supported us with money to re-roof the house, we are very grateful to the soldiers,” said Ms. Pu Riu Thi Ngach emotionally.

We came to the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Mua, A Roang 1 village, A Roang commune, A Luoi district. In the small house, the young volunteer intellectuals of the 92nd Economic-Defense Group were diligently guiding Ho Thi Thien Nhien to study.

After Ho Thi Thien Nhien's parents divorced, she lived with her grandparents. Her family's circumstances were difficult, so the 92nd Military Economic Group adopted Ho Thi Thien Nhien.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Mua, Nhien's grandmother, said: "My husband and I are old and do not know how to help our child study. He has dropped out of school several times, but fortunately, the staff and Youth Union of the 92nd Military Economic Group have encouraged, helped and supported him with money, books and school supplies."

We also noted the joy of the people when they came to the infirmary of the 92nd Military Economic Group, where they were examined, treated, and given free medicine by military medical staff.

Ms. Ho Thi Khar in AKa village, A Roang commune, A Luoi district happily said: "I have had back pain for a long time, but I don't know the reason. Now, the medical team of Military Economic Group 92 examined me and discovered that I have bilateral sciatica and gastritis, and they gave me free medicine to treat my illness."

According to Colonel Luu Duc Chinh, Political Commissar of Economic-Defense Group 92, A So Defense Economic Zone is built on the territory of 4 communes: Lam Dot, A Roang, Dong Son, Huong Phong, A Luoi district. These are extremely difficult border communes, sparsely populated, with 32km of border with Laos, an area heavily affected by Agent Orange - dioxin...

Economic-Defense Group 92 regularly coordinates with local Party committees and authorities to propagate and mobilize people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, build great national unity; preserve cultural identity, abandon backward customs. Cadres, employees, and Youth Union members of the unit stay close to the people and villages, instruct and help people with techniques for growing crops, raising livestock and poultry; provide health care, medical examination and treatment, provide free medicine, and help students with difficult circumstances in their studies...

With the motto of being close to the people, understanding the people, and working together with the people, the sweat of the army and people's affection at the border seeped into the soil, allowing the plants on the "dead land" to grow, blossom, and bear fruit, contributing to helping the people of 4 communes in the A So project area gradually escape poverty, which was recognized and highly appreciated by the Party Committee, government, and people.
