In recent days, a number of Cambodian press and media agencies such as Khmer Times and CNC have published many news, commentary and analysis topics revolving around the topic of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025).

Among these, CNC TV channel under Royal Group on February 5 broadcast a special in-depth commentary program revolving around the topic of “The 95-year political line of the Communist Party of Vietnam”, mainly inspired by the recent article “Radiant Vietnam” by General Secretary To Lam.

According to a VNA reporter in Phnom Penh, in the commentary program “Today’s World” broadcast in the early afternoon of February 5, CNC TV channel devoted the entire last part of the program to discussion and analysis revolving around the 95-year journey of establishment, development and leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the neighboring country, with guest journalist Khieu Kola, senior advisor to the President of the Cambodian Journalists Club (CCJ), and senior editor of CNC.

Opening the talk show with the theme “95 years of political guidelines of the Communist Party of Vietnam”, the speaker - veteran journalist Khieu Kola said the reason he proposed the discussion about the Communist Party of Vietnam is because it is the ruling party in Cambodia's neighboring country.

In addition, on February 3, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, General Secretary To Lam published an article in many languages, published by the Vietnam News Agency, which he was very pleased with.

According to the senior editor of CNC, in the above 9-page article, General Secretary To Lam said that Vietnam currently has 5.3 million party members, equivalent to more than 5% of the population, emphasizing that the Communist Party of Vietnam was born in 1930, in a special historical context and with a special mission, when Vietnam was invaded by French colonialists from the mid-19th century and imposed brutal domination, causing the Vietnamese people to suffer slavery and misery.

The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam noted that in the current new situation, Party building work needs to be focused on promoting the spirit of innovation, implementing more drastically and focusing on key priority groups of issues.

Responding to the program editor's question about the role and contributions of the Government and the Communist Party of Vietnam to world peace and security, the veteran Cambodian journalist said that as a member of the Politburo, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is responsible for implementing the Party's political platform and policies as mentioned.

And in the article "Radiant Vietnam", in the 7th point of note, General Secretary To Lam emphasized the key task in 2025, requiring party committees at all levels to focus their efforts and intelligence to strive to ensure the maintenance of peace in the country and complete tasks and targets according to the Party's plan.

According to Mr. Khieu Kola, that means the government, workers, farmers and the Communist Party of Vietnam must complete the task of maintaining peace and resolving issues peacefully, without using force against any country.

He further explained that in the East Sea issue, Vietnam chose to resolve it by peaceful means, through the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

With the desire to contribute more actively to peace, Vietnam has sent its military forces to participate in peacekeeping forces at United Nations peacekeeping missions.

In the article “Radiant Vietnam” published widely in domestic media on February 2, General Secretary To Lam emphasized the need to continue to adhere to the Party’s goals and ideals, affirming that the Communist Party of Vietnam does not exist for its own benefit but operates for the benefit of all people.

Commenting on this content, journalist Khieu Kola said that the ideal of General Secretary To Lam is also the original ideal of President Ho Chi Minh, the founder of the Communist Party of Vietnam in Hong Kong (China), on February 3, 1930.

From that perspective, the veteran Cambodian journalist commented that since its inception, the Communist Party of Vietnam has led the country through stages of fighting against colonialism and imperialism, defeating France and the United States.

And finally, in the late 1970s, the Communist Party of Vietnam supported the Cambodian People's Revolutionary Party in overthrowing the genocidal Pol Pot regime, bringing new life and peace building to Cambodia and the region.

Besides, as an active member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the United Nations, Vietnam under the leadership of the Communist Party always loves peace and condemns acts of violence and war in the world.

In the talk show lasting more than 10 minutes, speaker Khieu Kola also reviewed and analyzed other strategic orientations in the article “Radiant Vietnam” by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam.

In particular, the article emphasizes the requirement to constantly improve the Party's theoretical system; continue to build and rectify a clean and strong Party; be determined to consolidate the political system's organization and apparatus towards streamlining, effective and efficient operations, overcoming cumbersome and overlapping situations; take care of building a contingent of cadres, especially key cadres at all levels; strengthen the application of science and technology, digital transformation in Party building work...

Besides, veteran writer Khieu Kola also expressed his impression and satisfaction with Vietnam's flexible foreign policy under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam in recent times.

That is the consistent foreign policy of not joining military alliances, not interfering in the internal affairs of other countries; at the same time establishing cooperative relationships in the spirit of respect, equality, and parity with major countries in the world such as China, Russia, France, UK, US.../.
