Hanoi University of Science and Technology

Hanoi University of Science and Technology will maintain 3 stable admission methods in 2025, including: talent selection; considering the results of the thinking assessment exam (expected to increase the quota slightly); considering the results of the high school graduation exam (expected to reduce the quota from 50% to 40%).

National Economics University

In 2025, the National Economics University will maintain 3 stable admission methods, including: direct admission (2%); combined admission (83%) and admission based on high school graduation exam results (15%, down 3% compared to 2024). With the method of using high school graduation exam results in 2025, the school will only use 4 combinations: A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), D01 (Math, Literature, English) and D07 (Math, Chemistry, English) instead of 9 combinations as in 2024.

Hanoi National University of Education

Hanoi National University of Education has also developed a roadmap to not rely too much on the high school graduation exam. Specifically, the percentage of admission quotas based on the school’s capacity assessment test scores will gradually increase over the years and the percentage of high school graduation exam scores will gradually decrease.

Hanoi National University of Education 2

In 2025, Hanoi National University of Education 2 will enroll students through 6 methods, an increase of 1 compared to 2024. This will be the first year the school organizes its own entrance exam and uses the results for university admission.

The remaining 5 methods include: considering high school graduation exam results, considering academic records; direct admission and priority direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; admission based on the results of the capacity assessment exam of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City; admission using the results of the capacity assessment exam of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University.

University of Commerce

The University of Commerce plans to reduce the number of admissions based on high school graduation exam scores in 2025. At the same time, it will increase the number of admissions based on other methods such as thinking assessment and capacity assessment.

Hanoi University

Hanoi University said that in the past 10 years, the school has always maintained 3 stable admission methods including: direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, combined admission and admission based on high school graduation exam scores. In 2025, the school will try to maintain the above 3 methods. In case of changes, there will be adjustments to add or remove criteria.

FPT University

FPT University continues to expand its training portfolio in 2025. Specifically, many majors that are in need of human resources and have prospects in the future such as: Financial Technology (Fintech), Digital Banking and Finance (Digital Banking and Finance), Corporate Finance, Investment Finance, Economic Law, International Trade Law are included in training.

The school announced 4 admission methods, including: considering high school student rankings, considering high school graduation exam results, direct admission according to the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, considering the results of the competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Ho Chi Minh City National University

Ho Chi Minh City National University announced a reduction in university admission methods in 2025, including priority admission and member schools' own methods. The university has agreed on three admission methods for next year: direct admission; consideration of the university's capacity assessment test scores; consideration of high school graduation exam scores. Member schools are encouraged to combine admissions.

University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University)

From 2025, the University of Economics and Law will no longer consider admission based on the combination of A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry) and D07 (Math, Chemistry, English). The school will use two traditional combinations: A01 (Math, Physics, English), D01 (Math, English, Literature), and add two new combinations: Math, English, Informatics and Math, English, Economic and Legal Education.

Regarding admission methods, the school plans to use 3 main methods in 2025, including: direct admission and priority direct admission (maximum 20% of the target), considering capacity assessment test scores (maximum 40-60%) and high school graduation exam scores (maximum 30-50%).

University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City National University)

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City National University) plans to maintain stable admission methods as last year.

Accordingly, the school will consider admission based on many methods, mainly from the results of the high school graduation exam and the capacity assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University. This is to avoid disruptions that may affect the registration of candidates for admission to the school next year.

University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University)

In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) plans to use only two main admission methods: direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, Ho Chi Minh City National University and combined admission (assessment of capacity, high school results, high school academic performance and other capacities).

About 70-90% of the quota is for combined admission. If candidates do not take the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam, they will be converted to high school graduation exam scores or Hanoi National University's competency assessment exam scores.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Education

From 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education will not use high school results in admission, only retaining the threshold conditions to ensure input quality to meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Training's admission regulations. The school plans to enroll students in 4 ways: direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; priority admission and admission of specialized class students; admission based on specialized competency assessment exams, admission based on the 2025 high school graduation exam.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade

Next year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade plans to reserve 15-20% of its quota for considering academic transcript scores (the total score of three subjects in grades 10, 11 and the first semester of grade 12), a 10% decrease compared to this year. 50-60% of its quota will be reserved for considering high school graduation exam scores, similar to recent years. The rest, the school plans to consider using the capacity assessment scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.

Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine

According to the announced enrollment plan for 2025, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine has adjusted the enrollment quota for some majors compared to 2024, including Pharmacy (up 30%), Traditional Medicine (up 20%) and Nursing (up 10%). The remaining majors will maintain their enrollment quotas.

Regarding admission methods, the school implements 6 admission methods, including: using high school graduation exam results; direct admission according to the regulations of the admission regulations; using the results of the capacity assessment test, thinking assessment organized by other units for admission; using only international certificates for admission; combining high school graduation exam results with international certificates for admission; using other methods.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology does not use the method of considering high school transcripts based on 3 semesters, but still maintains the method of considering high school transcripts based on a combination of 3 subjects in grade 12 in 2025. At the same time, it will add a method of using the results of the computer-based university entrance exam (V-SAT exam) for admission.

University of Finance - Marketing

In 2025, the University of Finance and Marketing will open more majors in Commercial Law and Software Engineering. The school's target is 4,350 (an increase of 50 compared to 2024). Admission methods will remain stable as last year. The school plans to focus on two main subjects: Math and Literature. The school's admission combinations will support candidates, taking from a total of 9 subjects that are suitable for the subjects that students have chosen to take the high school graduation exam.

Dalat University

Dalat University plans to enroll students in 4 ways: based on high school exam results; based on 12th grade transcripts; using the results of the National University's competency assessment exam; direct admission according to the Ministry of Education and Training's admission regulations; and direct admission of high school graduates who have been excellent students for 3 consecutive years or have won first, second, or third prizes in provincial-level excellent student competitions or higher into majors suitable for their major or prize-winning subject.

Nguyen Tat Thanh University

Up to this point, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has planned admission methods for 2025. Specifically, including: based on high school graduation exams; considering academic records; considering scores of competency assessment exams of Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hanoi National University and specialized competency assessment exams of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education; direct admission.

Nha Trang University

In 2025, Nha Trang University will stop using high school graduation exam scores for admission, instead considering a combination of transcripts and competency assessment scores. In particular, the school will take students' scores in certain subjects in three years of high school, depending on the training program and must meet the minimum requirements announced by the school every year.

Khanh Hoa University

Khanh Hoa University announced 4 admission methods in 2025, including: based on high school graduation exam results; based on high school study results; based on the results of the capacity assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University; direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

University of the Pacific

In 2025, Pacific University plans to use 3 admission methods: based on high school academic results; based on the results of the annual high school graduation exam according to the subject group corresponding to the admission major and based on high school graduation scores.
