Learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh's example has permeated every member, becoming a widespread movement in each unit of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force. Starting with small but effective actions, many exemplary individuals who have learned from and followed President Ho Chi Minh's example have had a significant ripple effect.

Dedicated to the job

The culinary skills of team member Duong Thi Tuyet (Production - Service - Life Team) have become a shining example throughout the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force. For the past 22 years, she has diligently and devotedly worked as a cook, preparing meals for hundreds of people. To fulfill her duties, she goes to the kitchen in the mornings before many people wake up and returns home later in the evenings. Many days, she has to rush to prepare meals for her teammates. Despite her busy schedule, she still finds time to study and improve her education. She is always present at group activities. In her small family, she always keeps the warmth of home alive, caring for her children's education. Today, her eldest child is in university, and her second child is in high school.

For team member Tran Van Trong, a security guard at the Tan Dinh student rehabilitation center (Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 3), work starts at 5:30 AM and ends at 11:30 PM every day. Having been there for over 10 years, he finds joy in his job by caring for the lives and living conditions of the students under his supervision. Each time he leads the students to weed or plant trees, he is always attentive, dedicated, and helpful, earning their affection.

After graduating from university, Mr. Vien Huu Binh worked at the Nhi Xuan Social Welfare Center, taking on the role of managing trainees, a position he has held for over 10 years. In his free time, he passionately explores and innovates, proposing improvements to the electrical and water systems, and constructing a multi-purpose sports area… to enhance the working and living conditions of the trainees. Seeing kitchen staff struggling to wash rice and vegetables using plastic baskets for meals for thousands of people, after many sleepless nights, he came up with the idea of ​​repurposing stainless steel containers into carts for washing rice, which is very convenient and saves time. Now, kitchen staff can wash 100kg of rice at a time instead of the previous 6kg. This small initiative has very practical benefits and significantly improves work efficiency.

The examples of learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings within the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force have been quite diverse. During the two-year review of the implementation of the campaign to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force recognized 40 exemplary individuals, including 3 who received city-level commendations and awards.

The quality of the movement depends on the quality of the officials.

To ensure that many exemplary individuals who study and follow President Ho Chi Minh's teachings shine brightly in life, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force has brought the program of studying President Ho Chi Minh to each unit and member through three specific, practical, and regular contents.

Party branches within the armed forces regularly organize thematic discussions on "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style regarding self-reliance, self-strength, and the aspiration for a prosperous and happy nation." Through branch meetings, mass organizations, and radio broadcasts, propaganda has reached 7,087 cadres, party members, officials, and workers. In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force also organized 89 thematic discussion sessions with the participation of 1,827 party members.

In addition, the Youth Volunteer Force organizes the writing of articles introducing exemplary individuals and good deeds, and outstanding examples in learning and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, so that everyone can learn from them and strive to improve. Bright and exemplary figures such as Duong Thi Tuyet, Tran Van Trong, Vien Huu Binh… are appearing more and more frequently in various units. Over the past two years, the force has produced 74 articles about exemplary individuals and outstanding examples of learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, as well as examples of good people and good deeds.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Phuong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force, said that Party branches regularly maintain the practice of telling stories about studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings. In addition, Party branches, trade union groups, and youth union branches maintain the practice of telling stories about Uncle Ho in their monthly meetings; and disseminate and promote many literary, artistic, and journalistic works on the theme of "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh"...
