Dedicated to work
The cooking story of team member Duong Thi Tuyet (Production - Service - Life Team) has become a shining example in the entire Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force. For the past 22 years, she has been diligent and dedicated to her job as a chef, preparing meals for hundreds of people. To complete her work, she goes into the kitchen in the morning when many people are still awake, and leaves later in the evening. Many days, she has to "work hard" to prepare meals for her teammates. Although busy with work, she still arranges time to study culture to improve her qualifications. She is always present in group activities. In her small family, she always keeps the fire burning in the home, taking care of her children's education. Up to now, her first child has entered university, the second child is in high school.
For team member Tran Van Trong, a security guard at the Tan Dinh student education management area (Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 3), work starts at 5:30 and ends at 23:30 every day. Having been there for more than 10 years, he finds joy in his work through caring about the lives and accommodations of the students he manages. Every time he leads students to weed or plant trees, he is always attentive, enthusiastically instructs and helps everyone, so he is loved.
After leaving the lecture hall, Mr. Vien Huu Binh returned to work at Nhi Xuan Social Facility, taking on the job of managing students, for more than 10 years now. In his spare time, he is passionate about researching and creating, proposing to repair the electricity and water systems, build a multi-purpose sports area... to improve the working and living conditions of team members and students. Seeing the kitchen staff struggling to use plastic baskets to wash rice and vegetables to serve meals for thousands of people, after many nights of thinking, he came up with the idea of using stainless steel barrels as rice washing carts, which is very convenient and saves time. Now, the kitchen staff can wash 100kg of rice each time instead of 6kg before. The initiative is small but the benefits are very practical, bringing high work efficiency.
The examples of studying and following Uncle Ho in the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force in recent times are quite abundant. During the 2-year review of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force had 40 typical examples, of which 3 individuals were commended and rewarded at the city level.

To have many shining examples of learning and following Uncle Ho in life, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force has brought the Uncle Ho learning program to each unit and team member with 3 specific, practical and regular contents.
Party cells in the force regularly organize discussions on the topic "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style on self-reliance, self-improvement, and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country". Through activities of Party cells, unions, and radio, propaganda has been carried out to 7,087 cadres, party members, civil servants, and workers. In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force also organized 89 discussions with the participation of 1,827 party members.
In addition, the Youth Volunteer Force organizes writing articles introducing good people, good deeds, and typical examples of studying and following Uncle Ho so that everyone can learn and strive to improve together. Bright and typical examples such as Duong Thi Tuyet, Tran Van Trong, Vien Huu Binh, etc. appear more and more in the units. In the past 2 years, the force has had 74 articles about typical examples of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, and good people and good deeds.
Comrade Nguyen Duc Phuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, said that at Party bases, storytelling about studying and following Uncle Ho is regularly maintained. In addition, Party cells, trade union groups, and youth unions maintain storytelling about Uncle Ho in monthly regular activities; popularize and promote many literary, artistic, and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle"...
