The Transport Charity Fund presented 300 million VND from the hearts of employees of the transport sector to former Truong Son soldiers and former youth volunteers on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025.
This morning (January 8), Mr. Quach Xuan Vinh, Vice President of the Vietnam Transport Trade Union, visited and presented gifts to members of the Vietnam Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Tradition Association and former youth volunteers of the Vietnam Veterans Association.
At the headquarters of the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Tradition Association, Major General Vo So, Chairman of the Association, emphasized that the history of the legendary Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail marks the sentiment and tradition of solidarity between the staff of the Transport sector and the Truong Son veterans. In peacetime, that tradition continues to be promoted in transport works and projects with the participation of the 12th Army Corps - Truong Son Construction Corporation.

Over the years, the Ministry of Transport has always paid attention to disadvantaged veterans. The Vietnam Transport Trade Union Charity Fund always allocates a large amount of funds to support dozens of members of the Truong Son Traditional Association every year.
At the Vietnam Veterans Association, Mr. Vu Trong Kim, Chairman of the Association, shared that over the years, the Ministry of Transport and the Vietnam Transport Trade Union Charity Fund have always accompanied and paid attention to the lives of poor and disadvantaged former Vietnamese Volunteers.
Mr. Kim said that every traditional Tet holiday, the Association always mobilizes support from many sources for former Youth Volunteers. For the 2025 Tet At Ty, up to now, about 3,400 gifts have been mobilized, of which the Transport Trade Union Charity Fund alone supports 400 gifts.
Not only on Tet holiday, the workers of the transport sector have always cared for the former Youth Volunteers in general, and the female Youth Volunteers in particular, providing support at least twice a year: the anniversary of the Youth Volunteers' traditional day, the War Invalids and Martyrs' Day and the traditional Tet holiday.
Vice President of the Vietnam Transport Trade Union Quach Xuan Vinh said that every time Tet comes, the leaders of the Ministry of Transport and the Trade Union always pay attention and direct units to take care of workers, from construction sites, projects, production lines, to returning home to celebrate Tet with the spirit: No worker should go without Tet.

Along with that, with the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", "Repaying gratitude", showing gratitude to those who have contributed to the revolution, heroes of the armed forces, former Youth Volunteers, former Truong Son soldiers, over the years, the Vietnam Transport Trade Union Charity Fund has supported members and veterans in difficult circumstances, and provided funding to build gratitude houses with an amount of billions of VND.
On the occasion of the Spring of At Ty 2025, the Vietnam Transport Trade Union Charity Fund presented gifts from employees of the transport sector worth 100 million VND to disadvantaged veterans who are members of the Vietnam Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Tradition Association and 200 million VND to disadvantaged former youth volunteers of the Vietnam Veterans Association.
Major General Vo So presented the Certificate of Merit of the Vietnam Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Tradition Association to the Vietnam Transport Trade Union Charity Fund.
"This is a small gift but contains the affection, gratitude and appreciation of the workers in the transport industry to the former Truong Son soldiers and former Youth Volunteers who devoted their youth and sacrificed their blood and bones in the war as well as in building the country," said Mr. Vinh, emphasizing that in the coming time, the workers in the transport industry and the Charity Fund will continue to have more meaningful support activities.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Tradition Association awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Vietnam Transport Trade Union Charity Fund for accompanying and helping the Vietnam Truong Son Association to carry out well traditional activities, comradeship, and gratitude to Truong Son soldiers over the past years, contributing to promoting the tradition of Truong Son soldiers in the new period.
