Ha Giang

Ha Giang is a familiar destination for travel enthusiasts because of its wild and mysterious natural scenery. Besides the special stone plateau, winding mountain passes embrace towering rocky mountains, at the foot of the mountain is the soft and blue Nho Que River, creating a "picture" that never ceases to fascinate people.

When spring comes, Ha Giang becomes more attractive than ever when peach blossoms bloom, “dying” the whole sky and earth pink, from the cherry blossoms to the late-blooming wild peach blossoms. Peach blossoms bloom in home gardens, along the stone fences of the Mong people, along national highways and even on the mountain slopes. Thanks to that bright pink color, the contemplation of the rocky mountains is reduced. Also because of the bright pink peach blossoms, the whole Ha Giang seems to “wake up” from the gloomy atmosphere of winter.

On the rocky plateau, there is not only one flower symbolizing Spring, but also many other flowers competing to bloom such as rape flowers, plum flowers, etc. Extending to March and April, it is the season of purple bauhinia flowers and red cotton flowers blooming. You should not miss the journey to conquer and explore the "flowering rocky land" at the beginning of the year.

Dien Bien

The name Dien Bien makes people immediately think of the Dien Bien Phu victory that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world", associated with historical sites such as Hill A1, De Castries Tunnel... or Pha Din Pass - one of the "four great mountain passes" in the Northwest region, among the most dangerous roads in Vietnam, loved by "backpackers" because of the majesty of the natural mountains and forests here.

However, if you visit Dien Bien from around February to April every year, after the time when the peach blossoms are dyed red to welcome the Lunar New Year, visitors will have a very different experience when admiring the hillsides, cliffs or roads covered in a light purple-pink color of the Ban flowers.

Whether growing on dry grass hills or clinging to steep cliffs, the Bauhinia flowers still carry an immortal life. The blooming petals, forming clusters swaying in the wind - that gentle but extremely attractive natural scenery brings excitement and eagerness to most visitors. When setting foot in Dien Bien at this time, almost everyone chooses the Bauhinia flower roads as a place to stop and capture beautiful photos.

In addition to taking photos with the Ban flowers, visitors to Dien Bien in March and April can participate in other traditional festivals such as Thanh Ban Phu (in memory of General Hoang Cong Chat), Tet Te Nuoc, Xen Ban festival (praying for peace at the beginning of the new year) of the Thai people, and Tra Hat festival of the Kho Mu people.

Visiting Dien Bien during the Ban flower season, in addition to the typical dishes of the Northwest region, do not miss enjoying dishes made from Ban flowers imbued with the culinary culture of the Thai ethnic group.

Dishes such as Ban flower salad, Ban flower stir-fried with meat, Ban flower with pickled bamboo shoots… are prepared by the locals with typical spices, bringing unique flavors. Delicious dishes made from Ban flowers become a unique flavor from the mountains and forests in the Thai people's Spring dinner tray.

Moc Chau

Famous for its red strawberry farms, Moc Chau is also known as a paradise of plum, apricot, buckwheat and canola flowers. In the days approaching Lunar New Year, besides the blooming apricot and peach blossoms, Moc Chau plateau (Son La) is becoming an attractive destination with forests of plum blossoms in full white.

It is not difficult to see images of young people checking in in the dreamy white color among the plum blossom forest, dotted with the yellow and white colors of the canola flower gardens, so that everyone makes an appointment to go to the green plateau of Son La province from January to early March.

Plum blossoms are very common in the mountainous provinces of the Northeast and Northwest. However, plum blossoms in Moc Chau do not grow sporadically but cover a very large area, the whole hill and the whole field are covered with plum blossoms.

Moc Chau Plateau in plum blossom season is almost completely covered in white because there are thousands of hectares of plum trees. Every corner from villages to fields, from national highways to village roads, small alleys are covered in white. Moc Chau plum blossoms bloom in thick clusters, the delicate petals embrace the yellow pistil. A gust of wind will cause thousands of petals to fall.

Under the cover of fog or under the warm, long-lasting sunshine, the white plum blossoms stand out with vitality. Plum blossoms are likened to young girls in their prime, gentle yet hard to reach. Walking in this beautiful scene will make you feel like you are lost in a fairyland. Therefore, this season is also the peak tourist season in Moc Chau, making everyone want to come here to immerse themselves in that natural scenery.

The flower season in Da Lat that many people look forward to during Tet is probably the cherry blossoms that begin to bloom in the first days of the New Year. The cherry blossom season in Da Lat lasts until March.

That is why people often tell each other that seeing apricot blossoms means seeing Tet coming to the highland city. On the days when the flowers are in full bloom, from the suburbs to the city center, the color of the flowers seems to make the whole space gentle and soft.

The center of Da Lat city has more than 3,000 cherry blossom trees. The combination of small, ancient wooden houses with fragile petals and the cold of Da Lat creates a strangely poetic scene. The beauty of cherry blossoms has become a characteristic, a tourist specialty of Da Lat.

Around February and March is the season of white bauhinia flowers, a typical flower of the Northwest mountains and forests, with small white dots on the trees, creating an extremely poetic scene. The pure white petals, small and pretty like snowflakes, cover the green of the city. Combined with the cold air, the purity of the flower color makes many visitors feel like they are lost in a gentle, delicate version of the Northwest.

Interspersed with white snowflakes, another flower season in Da Lat is dressed in yellow, that is mimosa. Mimosa flowers are yellow like the first rays of the day. Brilliant but not too dazzling.

Every year, mimosa flowers start blooming from the end of November and last until February and March of the following year. During this season, the road named Mimosa stands out the most because, in addition to the green of the vast pine forest, it is also decorated with the proud, shimmering yellow of mimosa flowers.

The end of the season of Ban and Mimosa flowers is the blooming season of purple phoenix flowers. Dalat's purple phoenix flowers have a beauty that you cannot find anywhere else. The flowers bloom in March and April. Many people are so fascinated by this flower that they go to Dalat just to see the purple phoenix flowers bloom.
