Parents and candidates learn about admission information of Saigon International University.
Master Cao Quang Tu, Director of Admissions, Saigon International University (SIU), said that the school is recruiting 300 additional students for 29 training majors. The deadline for receiving additional applications is August 31.
The school recruits additional students in 3 ways:
- Admission based on 12th grade transcripts: Candidates must meet the following criteria: Conduct rating from Good or higher; average score for the entire 12th grade year is 6.5 or higher; total score of 3 subjects in the admission group is 20 points or higher.
- Admission based on 2024 high school exam results: Candidates need to graduate from high school in 2024 and achieve a combined score of 3 subjects from 16 - 17 points or higher according to each major.
- Admission based on the results of the Competency Assessment Exam (CAE) of Ho Chi Minh City National University: The score for receiving applications is from 600 points (scale of 1,200).

Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology also announced additional admission based on academic records, the school is accepting applications from now on. until August 31 with admission score equal to the standard score of considering high school transcripts.
Ton Duc Thang University considers additional enrollment (accepting applications until September 5) according to the following methods: Admission based on high school academic results; based on 2024 high school graduation exam results; based on 2024 capacity assessment test results of Ho Chi Minh City National University for the following majors:
- Standard program: environmental science, environmental engineering technology, labor protection, traffic construction engineering.
- High quality program: construction engineering.
- Curriculum at Khanh Hoa Branch: Vietnamese studies (specializing in tourism and travel), accounting, law, software engineering, business administration (specializing in restaurant and hotel management), marketing, English language, computer science.
- University programs in English: Vietnamese studies (specializing in tourism and tourism management), accounting (specializing in international accounting), finance - banking, biotechnology, control and automation engineering, construction engineering.
- University preparatory program in English: accounting (majoring in international accounting), finance - banking, biotechnology, control and automation engineering, construction engineering.

With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the additional admission score is equivalent to the standard score. The highest score is general medicine with 23 points, dentistry with 22.5 points, traditional medicine and pharmacy with the same score of 21 points; nursing, rehabilitation techniques, medical testing techniques, preventive medicine, have a score of 19 points. The remaining majors have a standard score of 15 points.
For the method of considering transcripts, the school considers according to 3 criteria: Subject combination, grade 12 transcript, transcripts of 3 semesters of 3 years 10, 11, 12 with the admission score for general medicine is 8.3; dentistry, traditional medicine and pharmacy is 8. The majors of Preventive Medicine, Nursing, Rehabilitation Technology, Medical Testing Technology and Law have a score of 6.5. The remaining majors are 6 points.
In the assessment test results of Ho Chi Minh City National University, the general medicine major is also the highest with 650 points, dentistry - maxillofacial 600 points, traditional medicine and pharmacy have the same score of 570. All other majors are 550 points. Considering the assessment test results of Hanoi National University 2024, the highest standard score is 85 points for general medicine major, dentistry - maxillofacial is 75 points, all other majors are 70 points.

For the health sector, if considering the high school academic results, candidates need to meet the threshold to ensure input quality according to regulations, specifically: medicine, dentistry, traditional medicine and pharmacy - the total score of the admission subject group is from 24.00 points or higher and the 12th grade academic performance is good; nursing, midwifery, medical testing technology and rehabilitation technology - the total score of the admission subject group is from 19.50 points or higher and the 12th grade academic performance is good or higher.
