This is a major cultural event, part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Binh Thuan Province (April 19, 1975 - April 19, 2025). With the aim of selecting songs with high content and artistic quality, expressing unique characteristics, adding many new works to the database of songs about Binh Thuan. The Organizing Committee of the Songwriting Contest about Binh Thuan issued Plan No. 4116/KH-BTC on launching the Songwriting Contest about Binh Thuan on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Binh Thuan homeland (April 19, 1975 - April 19, 2025).
According to Mr. Vo Thanh Huy - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the main theme of the contest will be songs praising and introducing the historical and cultural traditions and characteristics of the land, people, potential and advantages of Binh Thuan province over 50 years of construction and development , in many different genres such as solo, duet, trio, group singing, choir , etc.
The Organizing Committee of the Songwriting Contest about Binh Thuan, after announcing the rules of the Songwriting Contest about Binh Thuan , by the end of March 15, 2025 , the Organizing Committee of the Songwriting Contest about Binh Thuan had received 133 entries from 93 authors, including 32 authors in the province and 101 authors outside the province such as: Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Thap, Kien Giang, Ninh Thuan, Nghe An, Binh Duong, An Giang, Dong Nai, Khanh Hoa, Binh Dinh, Lai Chau, Ca Mau, Hue, Quang Ngai, Da Nang, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Can Tho, Tien Giang, Binh Phuoc, Quang Nam.
The Organizing Committee has deployed the awarding work, the Work Appraisal Council will appraise the works in 2 rounds, the preliminary round will take place from March 16, 2025 to March 25, 2025; the final round will start from March 26, 2025 to March 30, 2025. The announcement and award ceremony for the works will take place on the evening of April 18, 2025 at the lobby stage of Binh Thuan Theater and Cultural and Art Exhibition - Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Binh Hung Ward, Phan Thiet City. Typical works will be arranged, orchestrated and performed to serve the people and tourists on the award night.
