Striker Nham Manh Dung could not hold back his tears of emotion after scoring the first goal for Viettel in V-League 2023.

In the 52nd minute of the match between Viettel and SLNA in round 10 of V-League 2023 on the evening of June 1, Nham Manh Dung escaped past the opposing goalkeeper and then finished into the empty goal after a pass from Hoang Duc.
The striker born in 2000 then collapsed on the field, covering his face and crying with emotion because this was his first goal for the army team this season.
In the previous rounds, Nham Manh Dung was often given the field by coach Thach Bao Khanh, even starting.
He played energetically, had many opportunities but was unlucky to convert them into goals.
Nham Manh Dung's goal helped Viettel take a 2-0 lead. Before that, Duc Chien opened the score for the home team at the end of the first half.
In the 57th minute, midfielder Duong Thanh Hao sealed a 3-0 victory for Viettel with an accurate shot in the penalty area, also from a favorable pass by Hoang Duc.
This victory helped Viettel rise to 7th place on the rankings with 14 points. "The Cong's descendants" are still 8 points behind the leading team Thanh Hoa.
Meanwhile, SLNA ranked 11th with 9 points, 4 points more than the bottom team Da Nang.
In the next round, Viettel will visit Khanh Hoa while SLNA will host Ho Chi Minh City Club at home on June 6. After round 11, V-League 2023 will take a break of more than two weeks for the national team to focus on international friendly matches.
