"100 Dong House" in the remote mountains and forests
In 1996, when Dang Phuc Xuan was only 2 years old, he followed his parents from Cao Bang to the new economic zone in Tan Thanh commune, Krong No district, Dak Nong province... In the first months of 2022, right after the 4th Congress of Tan Thanh Commune Youth Union, Term 2022-2027, Tan Thanh Commune Youth Union built 2 youth projects "100 Dong House" to store scrap, cardboard... to sell to raise funds for children in difficult circumstances in the commune on holidays, New Year... This is a project to celebrate the success of the Congress.
In the beginning, the project was also very difficult to implement, especially for a mountainous, remote, large area and low population density area like Tan Thanh commune. However, with his efforts, Dang Phuc Xuan, the Secretary of the Commune Youth Union, has mobilized many households and small businesses selling soft drinks. Little by little, people understand the meaning of this project. Each beer can or soft drink can when sold as scrap will cost 100 VND. From thousands of cans, a large amount of money will be accumulated to carry out social work activities to help many difficult circumstances in Tan Thanh commune.
Perhaps it is the enthusiasm of youth, dedication and kindness in the purpose of raising a social work fund in the area that since the project was completed, it has received enthusiastic support from youth union members and people in the commune.
Up to now, the fund from the project “100 Dong House” has helped 21 poor children and 1 family of a young soldier in difficult circumstances in the commune with 21 gifts and 2 health insurances worth 6.9 million Dong. The fund has also lent 10 million Dong to a young man in difficult circumstances to develop his economy.

Using technology for social work
Phuc Xuan has always received love and admiration for its social work activities in Tan Thanh commune. With Phuc Xuan, understanding the difficult circumstances of young people and people in this mountainous area, with all its efforts and mobilization, spreading to more than 100 union members of the commune, the union activities in the remote commune have increasingly developed in quality as well as quantity.
Taking advantage of resources as well as the development of technology, the dynamic 9X guy always thinks creatively in the form of implementing social work activities. Phuc Xuan shared: “Social work requires connection and dissemination. In the beginning, there were still some young people and people who did not understand the meaning and purpose of the project, so there were still some people who did not support it. However, after the project was spread on some fanpages of social networks, it received enthusiastic support from people inside and outside the commune. With the era of rapid technological development, social networks have contributed to spreading deeply, widely and quickly, so charitable activities such as the project "House of 100 Dong" are always favored by people.

By July 2024, 5 "100 Dong House" projects had been implemented throughout Tan Thanh commune. With the success of this project, in his plan, Phuc Xuan said he would try to coordinate with village and school youth unions to build many new 100 Dong houses, hoping that the project would be increasingly replicated and receive more support from the people in the commune, so that the project's fund source would be more abundant, helping more difficult situations in the area.
“The 100 Dong House” is a very good and meaningful way of doing things. In particular, this project also protects the environment by preventing plastic waste and recycling waste... For that reason, this project has been commended and awarded a certificate of merit by the Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee...
