According to the Ministry of Health's announcement on the Covid-19 epidemic, today the country recorded 1,986 more Covid-19 cases. Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 11.56 million Covid-19 cases, ranking 13th out of 230 countries and territories.

Health departments reported that on April 29, 654 patients were declared cured in the country. Since the beginning of the epidemic, more than 10.6 million Covid-19 cases in Vietnam have been cured. At medical facilities, there are 62 patients on oxygen. Of these, 56 cases are on oxygen through masks; 3 cases are on high-flow oxygen HFNC, and there are no severe patients on ventilators. On April 29, 3 Covid-19 patients died in Bac Giang, Binh Duong and Dong Nai.
The total number of deaths from Covid-19 in Vietnam since the beginning of the epidemic is 43,191 cases, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.
Covid-19 April 30: Nearly 2,000 new cases, 3 deaths
Regarding the progress of Covid-19 vaccination, the Ministry of Health said that on April 29, nearly 1.6 million doses were injected. Thus, more than 266.22 million doses have been injected to people nationwide since the beginning of the vaccination campaign. Of which, the number of doses injected for people aged 18 and over is nearly 223.6 million; the number of doses injected for people aged 12-17 is nearly 24 million; the number of doses injected for people aged 5-11 is more than 18.66 million.
The Ministry of Health assessed that this April, the number of Covid-19 cases increased again and recorded 5 deaths after nearly 4 months without any deaths. Among the deaths were cases with underlying diseases but not vaccinated against Covid-19.
Given the recent increase in Covid-19 cases, localities need to strengthen epidemic surveillance during the extended holiday. Especially after the holiday, when people return to work, epidemic prevention and control work needs to be strengthened and controlled more strictly.
