On January 12, the Provincial People's Court held a conference to review the work in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024.
Attending and directing the conference were comrade Le Huu Quy, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee. Also attending were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Education Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, the Provincial People's Procuracy, the Provincial People's Court, Kim Son district; and representatives of the Provincial People's Council.
In 2023, the Ninh Binh Court sector focused on and seriously implemented the directive documents of superiors; proactively implemented many synchronous solutions; closely and resolutely led and directed to improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of operations. Thereby, successfully implementing assigned tasks, all work targets met and exceeded the requirements of the National Assembly and the Supreme People's Court. In particular, the settlement of criminal cases exceeded the National Assembly's target by 12%, the Supreme People's Court's target by 10%; the settlement of civil cases exceeded the National Assembly's target by 14.4%, the Supreme People's Court's target by 7.4%, etc.
The quality of handling and adjudicating all types of cases has been improved, in which the trial of criminal cases must be strict, correct in terms of the person, the crime, and the law, without letting criminals escape, and without wrongfully convicting innocent people. The rate of cases being annulled or amended due to subjective errors of judges is lower than the target of the Supreme People's Court and has decreased compared to 2022. There are no cases that are overdue or temporarily suspended without grounds. Select and organize well the trials of experience-sharing sessions and online sessions; strengthen mediation and dialogue; do a good job of publicizing judgments and decisions. Create favorable conditions for judges and people's assessors to study and improve their qualifications.
Promote the application of information technology, judicial reform, administrative reform, improve facilities; do a good job of inspection and guidance for district-level courts to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Le Huu Quy, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, acknowledged the achievements of the Ninh Binh Court sector in the past year. At the same time, he emphasized a number of contents that the Ninh Binh Court sector needs to focus on implementing in the coming time: Continue to coordinate with the prosecution and police sectors to effectively exercise judicial power; focus on improving the professional qualifications, working capacity, professional skills, attitudes, and public ethics of the staff and judges; strengthen the organization of online court sessions, carry out judicial reform and administrative reform. At the same time, coordinate with all levels and sectors to prepare for organizing litigation meetings.
On this occasion, collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in performing the tasks of the Court sector were commended by the Supreme People's Court and the Provincial People's Court.
