(Dan Tri) - The Chairman of the Binh Dinh Province Timber and Forest Products Association said that the goal in the 2021-2030 period is for the province's wood industry to achieve an export turnover of 2 billion USD.
The Binh Dinh Timber and Forest Products Association and the Provincial People's Committee recently held a press conference to announce information about the Q.FAIR 2025 International Outdoor Fashion Fair. The event will take place from March 6 to March 9 at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province.
Mr. Le Minh Thien, Chairman of the Binh Dinh Timber and Forest Products Association and Head of the Fair Organizing Committee, said that this year's event will have the participation of more than 100 businesses from all over the world with a scale of 1,200 booths.
The fair will be a place to exhibit unique interior and exterior wooden furniture and interior decoration products, especially outdoor products made of wood, stone, metal and woven plastic. In addition, the fair will also introduce new technological achievements and advanced wood processing equipment.
The event is expected to attract more than 15,000 international visitors from 40 countries and territories, creating opportunities for connection between domestic businesses and global partners.
Mr. Le Minh Thien also shared about the challenges in transporting wood from Vietnam to the US and Europe due to the impact of increased shipping costs through the Red Sea. However, he emphasized the sympathy and sharing from businesses and customers.
In 2024, Binh Dinh's wood industry will achieve an export turnover of nearly 1.1 billion USD, an increase of 15% compared to 2023, accounting for 62% of the province's total export turnover. With 370 wood processing enterprises, the industry has attracted more than 30,000 billion VND in investment and created jobs for more than 30,000 workers.
Binh Dinh's wood industry aims to increase export turnover by 7% to 10% in 2025, reaching about 1.2 billion USD.
Mr. Thien expressed his hope that the fair will contribute to promoting the Vietnamese wood brand and moving towards the goal of sustainable development, reaching 2 billion USD in export turnover of Binh Dinh wood industry and 20 billion USD of Vietnam wood industry by 2030.

Binh Dinh province is focusing on planting large timber forests to meet the demand for raw materials for production.
According to the regulations of the Organizing Committee, visitors are not allowed to film or take photos of exhibition booths at the fair without permission.
At the same time, the organizers require children under 12 years old to be accompanied by an adult, dress appropriately, not bring pets and do not allow drunk visitors to enter the fair. Filming and taking photos at the booths must have the consent of the exhibiting business.
