At the Ho Chi Minh City socio-economic press conference held on the afternoon of April 10, Colonel Tran Van Trung, Political Commissar, Ho Chi Minh City Command, announced a grand fireworks display at many locations in the city on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of "Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day" (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
According to plan, from 9:30 p.m. to 9:40 p.m. on April 19 and April 26, the City will organize high-altitude fireworks displays at Saigon Riverbank Park (Thu Duc City).
On the night of April 30, from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., Ho Chi Minh City will organize fireworks displays at 30 locations (2 high-altitude locations and 28 low-altitude locations) - the most ever, in districts, towns, and Thu Duc City.

28 low-altitude fireworks display locations include:
1. Giong Intersection (Hoc Mon)

3. Rung Sac Martyrs Memorial Temple (Can Gio)
4. An Phu Dong War Zone (District 12)
5. Lang Le Cultural Park (Binh Chanh district)
6. Binh Tri Dong Residential Area (Binh Tan)
7. Thong Nhat Hall (District 1)
8. Thanh Da Peninsula Area (Binh Thanh)
9. Thao Dien area (Thu Duc city)
10. Landmark 81 Park (Binh Thanh)
11. Ba Son Bridge (District 1)
12. Tan Thuan Bridge (District 4)
13. Northwest Industrial Park (Cu Chi)
14. Go Vap District Cultural Park
15. Nha Be District People's Committee Area
16. District 7 Administrative Center

In addition, there are some shooting points on barges in areas including Rach Chiec; Saigon River; Van Phuc Urban Area; Ben Bach Dang Wharf.
Fireworks are set off in accordance with Decree 137/2020 of the Government . On the occasion of Lunar New Year's Eve and September 2nd, centrally-run cities will set off high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks; the remaining provinces will set off low-altitude fireworks; the duration will not exceed 15 minutes.

Grand parade
According to the Organizing Committee, the national parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day will officially take place at 6:30 a.m. on April 30, 2025, at the same time as the celebration.
Starting at 6:30 a.m. on April 30, the forces will depart from the intersection of Le Duan and Nguyen Binh Khiem streets, moving through the main stage in front of the Reunification Hall. At the end of this schedule, the forces will split into 4 directions and move to the assembly point.
Residents and visitors can choose a location to observe on many main streets of District 1 or attend the celebration in the central area to watch the parade through 20 large screens including Le Duan Street (6 screens), Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Le Loi (3 screens), Nguyen Hue, Dong Khoi, Dien Bien Phu and Nguyen Dinh Chieu (2 screens).
In addition, people can watch the celebration, parade, and march on television and social networking platforms./.
