The first week of the third quarter of the 24th Road to Olympia witnessed the competition of four contestants: Nguyen Dai Thang (Ben Tre High School, Vinh Phuc), Nguyen Chi Kien (Yen Hoa High School, Hanoi), Vo Quang Phu Duc (Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, Thua Thien - Hue) and Huynh Duong Hai Long (Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted, Phu Yen).

Entering the first round, the contestants demonstrated their courage and extensive knowledge. In the individual round, Hai Long excellently won 60 points by answering all 6/6 questions correctly.

Hai Long continued to lead after finishing the General Warm-up round with a total of 80 points, followed by Phu Duc with 55 points, Dai Thang with 35 points and Chi Kien - 25 points.

The keyword to find in this week's Obstacle Course consists of 7 letters. The first horizontal line chosen contains the question: "On the chessboard, in the initial position, which piece is between the Rook and the Bishop?". All four contestants scored points with the answer "Knight".

The second horizontal row selected has the question: "Usually, the components that make up a text on a computer in order from smallest to largest are: …, word, sentence, line, paragraph, page?".

As soon as the question appeared, Phu Duc quickly pressed the bell to answer the required keyword, which was “Password”. With this correct answer, the boy from Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted rose to the top with 115 points. At this time, Hai Long had 90 points, Dai Thang had 45 points, and Chi Kien had 35 points.

Acceleration is the part of the competition that helps contestants get decisive points before reaching the finish line. Chi Kien, Phu Duc and Hai Long were the only ones to answer the first three questions correctly, making the race more exciting than ever.

At the last question, Phu Duc gave the fastest and most accurate answer, continuing to lead with a high score of 195 points. Next was Hai Long with 130 points, Chi Kien with 105 points and Dai Thang with 65 points.

Entering the decisive round - Finish, Phu Duc chose three questions with the same value of 20 - 20 -20 points. The male student from Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted excellently won 235 points when he answered correctly the first question and the third question with the star of hope.

As the second contestant to choose a question, Hai Long, from Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted, Phu Yen, chose to finish with the 20-20-30 question group. After giving the correct answer to the first question, Hai Long could not gain more points by using the star of hope in the second question about musician Trinh Cong Son. However, Hai Long quickly regained his composure, confidence and answered the last question correctly in English.

Chi Kien finished third with a set of questions worth 20 - 30 - 30 points. The male student from Hanoi earned 30 points for the second question. However, for the first 20-point question and the last 30-point question, Chi Kien could not give the correct answer, leaving the right to answer to the remaining 3 contestants.

Coming in last, Dai Thang decided to choose the 20 - 20 - 30 point question package. With the first 20 point question, Dai Thang did not give the correct answer. Immediately after that, Phu Duc rang the bell the fastest and answered correctly, helping this male student continue to consolidate his leading position in the mountain climbing group with 275 points. With the second question, Dai Thang's calmness helped him bring home 20 points. Finally, with the 30 point question about DNA, all 4 contestants could not give an answer.

The final results of the first week of the third quarter of Road to Olympia 24, Vo Quang Phu Duc (Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, Thua Thien - Hue) won the laurel wreath with 275 points. Huynh Duong Hai Long (Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted, Phu Yen) came in second with 230 points.

Also in third place, Nguyen Dai Thang (Ben Tre High School, Vinh Phuc) 65 points and Nguyen Chi Kien (Yen Hoa High School, Hanoi) 85 points.
