In recent years, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Quang Ninh has continued to innovate the content and methods of operation for ethnic affairs, focusing on the grassroots. Through campaigns and patriotic emulation movements, with many innovations and creativity in content and form, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the province have effectively implemented propaganda work, mobilizing people to actively respond, creating a clear change in awareness and action. Thereby, contributing to sustainable socio-economic development associated with firmly ensuring national defense and security in ethnic minority, mountainous, border and island areas in the province.
Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Huong affirmed: In order to contribute to improving the quality of life of people in ethnic minority, border and island areas, ensuring that all people have access to, enjoy and participate in products, services, culture, sports and development achievements of the province, the Fatherland Front at all levels has promoted its role well in successfully building the great solidarity bloc of ethnic groups, implementing well ethnic policies, national target programs on new rural construction, sustainable poverty reduction, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
In particular, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the province have focused on strongly implementing patriotic emulation movements and campaigns with depth, quality and effectiveness. At the same time, determining to promote the core role of the Fatherland Front, determined to build and develop the culture and people of Quang Ninh with the basic characteristics and core values unique to the province: "Dynamic - Creative - Generous - Healthy - Civilized - Friendly" is one of the breakthroughs, the driving force and goal to build the great national unity bloc.
Accordingly, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has actively innovated and improved the quality and effectiveness of information and propaganda work among ethnic minorities. Currently, the whole province has 191 Fatherland Front fanpage community pages from the province to the grassroots level, ensuring regular updates of information, which is an effective channel for propaganda, promotion and dissemination of unique cultural values of ethnic minorities in the area through social networking platforms. The team of front officials at all levels regularly coordinates with socio-political organizations, dignitaries, religious followers, prestigious people, village elders, and village chiefs to each household, village, and hamlet to propagate and mobilize ethnic minorities to practice a cultural and civilized lifestyle, eliminate bad customs, actively preserve and pass on cultural values, lifestyles, and cultural activities typical of each ethnic group...
The Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has also proactively implemented campaigns and emulation movements, focusing on the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" associated with the emulation movement "All people unite to build cultural life" in many diverse and creative forms, with specific models and tasks associated with the implementation of political tasks and goals and socio-economic development of the province.
Typically, the Fatherland Front at all levels has built, selected and effectively implemented 521 pilot models in many areas of social life, attracting the active participation of cadres, union members, association members and people of all walks of life. Among them, many models of preserving, conserving and promoting national cultural identity have been commended, replicated and promoted, typically, such as: Preserving the cultural identity of the San Diu ethnic group of the Fatherland Front of Binh Dan commune (Van Don district); residential area preserving the cultural identity of the Dao Thanh Y ethnic group of the Front Working Committee of Village 6 (Quang Phong commune, Hai Ha district); Traditional costume embroidery club of the Dao ethnic group of the Front Working Committee of Tai Ly Say village (Quang Lam commune, Dam Ha district)...
Along with that, mobilize and attract a large number of people to participate in developing self-management models, model gardens, villages, residential areas, and model new rural communes; mobilize people to voluntarily contribute hundreds of billions of VND, donate hundreds of thousands of square meters of land... to help rural and mountainous areas become more and more spacious, clean, beautiful, and civilized. Through campaigns and emulation movements chaired by the Vietnam Fatherland Front, awareness of self-awareness, the spirit of mutual love, mutual assistance, and helping each other to develop the economy and sustainably reduce poverty.
In 2023, the Fatherland Front at all levels focused on mobilizing and organizing the construction and repair of 441 houses, with a total amount of money, materials, artifacts and working days worth over 37,497 billion VND, contributing significantly to the completion of the Program to eliminate all temporary and dilapidated houses for people in the area. As of October 19, the provincial Fatherland Front has mobilized and received over 110 billion VND from 2,780 groups and individuals to support the people of Quang Ninh to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3...
In addition, the Fatherland Front at all levels also maintains the tradition of organizing the National Great Unity Day on the occasion of the anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18), becoming a traditional activity day for all people. From there, it creates an exciting atmosphere, arouses and promotes the tradition of solidarity in the community, connects cadres with the people and is truly a festival of the people, contributing to propagating, promoting, preserving the beauty, customs, and unique traditional values of ethnic minorities in the province.
Through specific activities, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has actively contributed to propagating, mobilizing, and gathering ethnic minorities to participate in implementing the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State on ethnic policies, constantly building an increasingly strong national solidarity bloc, actively contributing with local Party committees and authorities to well implement socio-economic development goals, firmly ensuring national defense and security in ethnic minority areas.
