(Dan Tri) - Many small MPV models priced under 700 million VND are given 50% registration fee discount by the company in February.
Attracting Vietnamese customers' attention thanks to its 7-seat configuration and affordable price, the small MPV segment has witnessed fierce competition among many products. This situation "escalated" in February, when the market entered the annual low season, many car models were offered great incentives by distributors.
Toyota Veloz Cross and Avanza Premio
In Toyota Vietnam's February promotion program, the two names Veloz Cross and Avanza Premio are both given 50% registration fee for all versions.
This incentive is converted into a discount of 28-30 million VND for Toyota Avanza Premio, bringing the actual selling price down to 530-568 million VND. For Veloz Cross, the corresponding discount ranges from 32-33 million VND depending on the version, bringing the price down to 606-627 million VND.

Honda BR-V
As a product with the highest suggested retail price in the small MPV segment, Honda BR-V also needs incentives to compete. However, the distributor only supports 50% of the registration fee for the highest-end L version of this model.
This promotion is equivalent to a discount of 35 million VND, reducing the price from 705 million to 670 million VND. In addition, customers who buy this variant in February will also receive 1 year of body insurance.
Despite its high price, Honda BR-V's sales remain stable, in the middle of the small MPV segment. In 2024, this model sold a total of 3,618 units (Photo: Nguyen Lam).
Suzuki XL7 Hybrid
Suzuki XL7 Hybrid has received increased incentives from the distributor in February, with a total value of up to 55 million VND. Specifically, car buyers will receive 50% support on registration fees equivalent to a reduction of 30 million VND, a cash bonus of 20 million VND and accessories worth 5 million VND.
After deducting all incentives, the actual selling price of the Suzuki XL7 Hybrid dropped from 599.9 million to 549.9 million VND in February, among the lowest in the small MPV segment (Photo: Nguyen Lam).
Suzuki XL7 Hybrid can be considered a new product in the small MPV segment, launched in Vietnam at the end of February. In fact, this is just an XL7 equipped with a mild-hybrid transmission similar to the Ertiga Hybrid model.
The Suzuki XL7 Hybrid's equipment was "transferred" from the regular XL7 and two additional features were added: guide lights and cruise control. In the last 4 months of 2024, this model sold a total of 1,315 units.
Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross
Holding the majority of the market share of the multi-purpose MPV segment in Vietnam, Xpander is not "resting on its laurels". In February, all versions of this model are supported by the company with 50% of the registration fee, but only applies to those manufactured in 2024 (VIN 2024).
In 2024, Mitsubishi Xpander will not only be the most popular MPV model but also the best-selling gasoline car model in the market, with cumulative sales reaching 19,498 units (Photo: Mitsubishi).
This incentive is converted into a discount of 28-33 million VND depending on the version. In addition, Xpander VIN 2024 cars also receive some additional gifts, such as fuel vouchers worth 15-20 million VND; MT version (560 million VND) is given a rear camera, AT Premium version (658 million VND) is given a 360-degree camera.
With VIN 2025 cars, only the highest-end AT Premium version appears in the company's promotional program. However, this variant is not supported with registration fees, only given a 25 million VND fuel voucher and a 360-degree camera.
Regarding Mitsubishi Xpander Cross, VIN 2025 has the same promotion as Xpander VIN 2024. Meanwhile, Xpander Cross VIN 2024 is given 50% registration fee equivalent to a reduction of 35 million VND, fuel voucher of 21 million VND and 360-degree camera.
