In March 2022, the Youth Union of Lao Cai Electricity Company coordinated with border posts on the border line of Muong Khuong district to organize the handover of 12 solar lamp posts at the control stations and Pha Long Border Post, Muong Khuong Border Post and Ban Lau Border Post.

The total value of the program is nearly 30 million VND.

Then, in December 2022, the Emulation Bloc of Enterprises (under the Provincial Agencies - Enterprises Bloc Youth Union) coordinated with the Ban Lau Border Guard Station Youth Union, Ban Lau Commune Youth Union and Lung Vai Commune Youth Union to organize the inauguration and handover of the project "Lighting up the border" in Na Loc village (Ban Lau commune, Muong Khuong district).

The project includes 20 solar lamp posts installed along more than 2 km of border line, stretching from Na Loc village to milestone 108 with a total project value of nearly 30 million VND.

From 2022 to present, the Provincial Agencies - Enterprises Bloc Delegation has awarded 4 "Lighting up the Border" projects in Muong Khuong district, including in Ta Thang commune with a length of 400 m, 20 lamp posts, worth 20 million VND; in Na Loc village (Ban Lau commune) with a length of 2 km, 20 lamp posts, worth 30 million VND; at Lo Co Chin, Sin Ten control stations and Ban Lau, Pha Long and Muong Khuong border posts with 12 lamp posts, worth nearly 30 million VND; in Din Chin village (Din Chin commune) with a length of 1.5 km, 65 light bulbs, worth 100 million VND.

Mr. Tran Van Quan, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises, said: The border lighting projects were implemented with the active participation of many grassroots youth units, contributing to supporting border guards and soldiers in patrolling and protecting the border, border markers and propagating to people in border areas about the benefits of using renewable energy, saving, responding to climate change, and protecting the environment.

There are still difficult border areas, inconvenient transportation and lack of lighting equipment that need the joint contributions of agencies, units and philanthropists, so in the coming time, the Provincial Agencies - Enterprises Bloc will continue to mobilize resources to implement more such projects, contributing to "Lighting up the border".
