On the morning of September 16, speaking with VietNamNet , Mr. Lo Van Phieu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Pi Toong Commune (Muong La District) confirmed that the locality had completed temporary classrooms for 25 preschool and primary school students of Na Tra village.

Previously, after prolonged heavy rains, in Na Tra village, Pi Toong commune, Muong La district, Son La, landslides occurred and cracks appeared on the floors of households, cultural houses and 2 kindergarten and primary school buildings in the village.

According to Mr. Phieu, in 2 days (September 14 and 15), officers and soldiers of the forces, along with local Party committees and authorities, set up temporary classrooms in safe places to ensure the learning of students.

Previously, Muong La District People's Committee moved 22 households with 109 people to temporary shelters and transferred 8 households with 26 people to live in safe houses.

The classroom is located next to the temporary shelter and about 500m from the landslide risk area.
