On the morning of March 4, speaking with VietNamNet reporter , Mr. Deo Van Phong, Chairman of Quyet Thang Ward People's Committee, Son La City said that an abandoned baby had just been discovered in the area, and so far his relatives have not been found.

Specifically, at around 6:30 p.m. on February 28, people discovered an abandoned child at the door of Mr. Tran Thanh Binh's house, No. 2, Lane 19, Nguyen Trai Street, Group 6, Quyet Thang Ward.

The baby is male, weighs 3.2 kg, is in stable health, has no deformities, is wrapped in a white diaper, wears a green jacket and hat, is placed in a blue plastic basket, with many diapers and a handwritten letter stating that he was born on January 28, 2025.

Quyet Tam Ward Police made a record of the abandoned child and handed the child over to Mr. Tran Thanh Binh's family to temporarily care for the child. Immediately after that, Quyet Thang Ward People's Committee issued a notice to find the child's biological parents.

"By the end of March 7, if no one comes to claim the child, the local authorities will proceed with birth registration and other related procedures for the child according to current law," Mr. Phong added.
