Ministry of Health organizes free medical examination and treatment for people in the mountainous areas of Son La

GĐXH - On March 8, 2025, the Youth Union of the Ministry of Health, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association, the Youth Union of Central Hospitals, the Department of Health of Son La province and its affiliated units organized a program to examine, provide health consultation and give gifts to more than 470 people and students of Ngoc Chien commune, Muong La district, Son La province.

Implementing Plan No. 193/KH-BYT of the Ministry of Health on organizing the Dialogue Program of the Minister of Health and the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union with cadres, union members and youth of the Health Sector in 2025 and welcoming Youth Month, on March 8, 2025, the Youth Union of the Ministry of Health, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association, the Youth Union of Central Hospitals, the Department of Health of Son La province and its affiliated units in coordination with the Lifebuoy brand - Unilever Vietnam Company jointly organized the Health Examination, Consultation and Gift Giving Program for more than 470 people and students of Ngoc Chien commune, Muong La district, Son La province.

Attending, directing and directly implementing the Program were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Youth Work in the Health Sector; MSc. Dang Le Tri, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Health, and a working delegation of doctors, nurses, technicians and union members from Bach Mai Hospital, Friendship Hospital, Central Hospital of Traditional Medicine and units under the Ministry. On the side of Son La province, there were Mr. Nguyen Huu Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Health, Ms. Mua Thi Sinh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Muong La district, and a working delegation of doctors and nurses from a number of units in Son La province.

In the Program, many meaningful activities were carried out by doctors, medical staff, youth union members at the Central level and Son La province, and sponsors, such as general examination for screening, measuring blood pressure, diabetes, abdominal ultrasound, electrocardiogram, pediatric and ENT examination; consulting and guiding knowledge and skills to prevent some common diseases; instructing on how to prevent accidents and injuries, personal hygiene, environmental hygiene and proper nutrition, preventing strokes and accidents in winter and spring; instructing students of primary and secondary schools to practice proper hand washing. In total, more than 470 people and students of Ngoc Chien commune participated in the Program and received gifts including health protection foods, nutritional milk, shower gel and hand sanitizer.

Also in the Program, Unilever Vietnam, Lifebuoy brand awarded 10 scholarships worth 20 million VND to students of Ngoc Chien Primary School. In addition, the Central Delegation presented 2 gifts, which were boxes of Lifebuoy shower gel, Lifebuoy hand sanitizer and some medicines to representatives of Ngoc Chien Commune People's Committee and the Commune Health Station.
