On the morning of September 14, at the Ha Nam Provincial Cheo Theater, the Provincial Elderly Association (ECA) Representative Board coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the first Ha Nam Provincial Elderly Singing Festival in 2023.
Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Le Thi Thanh Ha, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Tran Thi Ngan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial Elderly Association Representative Board; leaders of a number of departments and branches; leaders of the Elderly Association Representative Boards of districts, towns and cities; Provincial Business Association, Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association.
Attending the festival were nearly 100 actors and musicians from 6 districts, towns and cities in the province, including officials, members, senior citizens and members of the Cultural and Arts Club of the Elderly.
At the contest, participating units presented outstanding singing and dancing performances selected from the grassroots level.
The contest entries have themes of praising the Party, beloved Uncle Ho, love for the homeland and country, praising the tradition of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly and the contributions of the Association of the Elderly in the cause of building the homeland, the emulation movement "Old age - Bright example"...
With careful and elaborate preparation, the teams brought attractive, rich and meaningful performances. Thereby, increasing the spirit of solidarity and friendship between the branches and clubs of the elderly, contributing to promoting the cultural and artistic movement at the grassroots level; at the same time, encouraging and motivating the elderly to actively participate in the emulation movement "Old age, bright example"; improving spiritual life, supporting the elderly to live happily, healthily and usefully...
At the end of the Festival, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates of achievement to 17 performances including: 3 A prizes, 6 B prizes, 8 C prizes and the overall group award flag to 6 units including: 1 First prize, 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes for the teams participating in the 2023 Ha Nam Province Elderly Singing Contest.
