The success of the 2023 Northern Provinces' Region I Elderly Singing Festival in Ha Tinh has contributed to affirming the results of the work of protecting, caring for and promoting the role of the elderly at all levels, sectors and the whole society.

On the afternoon of September 30, the Organizing Committee of the 2023 Elderly Singing Festival in Region I of the Northern Provinces held a closing and award ceremony. Attending the ceremony were Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Nguyen Thanh Binh and Vice Chairmen: Truong Xuan Cu, Phan Van Hung; delegates from central departments, branches, and associations of the elderly in northern provinces and cities. After more than 2 days of exciting competition, the Elderly Singing Festival of Region I in the Northern provinces has ended successfully. According to the Organizing Committee, the careful preparation and enthusiastic reception of Ha Tinh province have contributed significantly to the success of the festival.
Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Truong Xuan Cu evaluated the festival results.
The festival has the participation of 400 actors from 26 non-professional art troupes. The troupes participating in the festival strictly follow the rules of the Organizing Committee; ensuring the mass character, artistry, rich content, suitable for the elderly and the characteristics of each locality.
With natural and expressive performances, more than 90 performances by the troupes brought the audience many profound emotions. The performances were elaborately staged in terms of content and form; expressing the love for the homeland, the country, national pride, and the passion for art of the elderly.
The festival is an opportunity for the elderly from the northern provinces and cities to exchange and learn about the traditional cultural beauty of other provinces; contributing to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the homeland and the nation. The festival also affirms the results of the work of protecting, caring for and promoting the role of the elderly at all levels, sectors and the whole society.
Based on scientific and fair scoring of criteria, the Organizing Committee decided to award prizes.
In the group competition, there are 10 A prizes (Ha Tinh, Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Cao Bang, Thai Binh, Dien Bien, Hung Yen, Nghe An, Ha Nam, Hai Phong); 10 B prizes (Son La, Bac Ninh, Lai Chau, Lang Son, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Nam Dinh, Bac Can); 6 C prizes (Bac Giang, Lao Cai, Hai Duong, Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen, Hoa Binh).
Individual and performance awards include: 2 oldest male and female actors; 20 awards for best solo performance; 7 awards for best duet performance; 28 awards for best group and scene singing performance.
Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Nguyen Thanh Binh awarded the two oldest actors, Mr. Dinh Cong Duong (83 years old - Hai Duong troupe) and Ms. Le Thi Hoai Thanh (79 years old - Ha Tinh troupe).
Representatives of central agencies presented awards to the best solo performances.
Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Truong Xuan Cu and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau presented awards to the best duets.
Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Nguyen Thanh Binh and Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee Truong Thanh Huyen presented awards to the best singing group and scene singing.
Tonight (September 30), at the Cultural - Cinema Center of Ha Tinh province, the Launching Ceremony in response to the Action Month for the Vietnamese Elderly in 2023 will take place. At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee will present awards to the groups that won prizes A, B, C.
