On February 12, a leader of the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board (investor of Cam Lo - La Son Expressway) said that the incident occurred at around 7am today at Km34+900 - Cam Lo - La Son Expressway (section passing through Hai Lang district, Quang Tri province). The unit coordinated with the Traffic Police Team No. 5 (Traffic Police Department) to protect the scene and investigate the cause.

At that time, a 4-axle truck with license plate 99H – 012.16 (driver's identity unknown) was carrying several tons of goods on the highway, in the direction of Cam Lo - La Son.

When arriving at the location, due to the rain and slippery road, the truck had an accident, overturned and blocked 2 lanes of the highway. The accident caused minor injuries to the driver, dozens of boxes of goods fell out of the truck and onto the road.

After the accident, authorities quickly arrived at the scene, directed traffic and investigated the cause of the incident.

At 10:30 this morning, the roads leading to the Cam Lo - La Son Expressway were blocked by authorities, prohibiting traffic from entering the route. At the same time, a crane was dispatched to the scene to participate in the rescue work.

At around 1am today, the Cam Lo (Quang Tri) - La Son (Hue) expressway, through the accident area, in Hai Son commune, Hai Lang district, Quang Tri province, was reopened after more than 5 hours of congestion.
