During the visit and gift-giving ceremony, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi kindly inquired about the health of veteran Tran Van Toai and his family. Mr. Loi also expressed his gratitude to the heroic martyrs, revolutionary soldiers, and frontline workers who sacrificed their lives and contributed their blood and strength for national peace and independence.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi wished veteran Tran Van Toai good health, to continue living happily and healthily with his children and grandchildren; and to continue being a shining example for the younger generation to follow.
This is one of a series of activities to honor and pay tribute to heroic martyrs, Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers (who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign) on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).
Through screening, in Binh Duong province there are currently 68 Dien Bien Phu veterans (30 people are still alive and 38 people have passed away).
