Hanoi City leaders offer incense to commemorate General Secretary Tran Phu

Kinhtedothi - The delegation of Hanoi City led by Politburo member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City's National Assembly delegation Bui Thi Minh Hoai offered incense to commemorate comrade Tran Phu - the first General Secretary of the Party at the relic house at 90 Tho Nhuom Street (Hoan Kiem District).


On the morning of January 23, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), the Hanoi City delegation led by Politburo member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City National Assembly delegation Bui Thi Minh Hoai offered incense to commemorate comrade Tran Phu - the first General Secretary of the Party at the relic house at 90 Tho Nhuom Street (Hoan Kiem District).

The delegation included Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong; members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee: Chairwoman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Lan Huong; Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Doan Toan, and leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors and Hoan Kiem District.

Respectfully offering incense to commemorate General Secretary Tran Phu, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai and other leaders of Hanoi City vowed to do their best to lead and direct the Party Committee, government and people of the capital to promote the tradition of solidarity, heroism, and joint efforts and determination to successfully implement the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee; and prepare to successfully organize Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.

Thereby contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; building and developing the capital Hanoi to become increasingly civilized, civilized and modern. At the same time, truly deserving to be the heart of the whole country, the national political and administrative nerve center, a major center of economics, culture, science, education and international transactions.

General Secretary Tran Phu was born on May 1, 1904, in Tung Anh commune, Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province. Although he was orphaned at a young age, with his special temperament, he constantly strived to overcome difficulties and rise up, soon awakened and revealed his revolutionary leadership qualities.

In October 1930, at the Party Central Committee Conference, he was elected the first General Secretary of the Party. In this important position, Comrade Tran Phu made great contributions to building the Party in terms of politics, ideology and organization. In particular, the Political Platform drafted and approved by him was an important document of the Party, applying the principles of Marxism-Leninism on national and colonial issues along with the basic theses in the Brief Platform and Brief Strategy drafted by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc.

Comrade Tran Phu died on September 6, 1931 in Solitary Detention Room A3, Cho Quan Hospital, Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City). House No. 90 Tho Nhuom Street (Hoan Kiem District) was one of the secret bases of the Provisional Central Office of the Communist Party of Vietnam from February to October 1930. Here, Comrade Tran Phu wrote the draft Political Platform... The relic of house No. 90 Tho Nhuom Street has been ranked as a National Historical Relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

On this occasion, Secretary of the City Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai and leaders of Hanoi listened to a presentation about the life and glorious revolutionary career of comrade Tran Phu as well as the history and activities of the House Relic at 90 Tho Nhuom Street.
