Tan Yen is one of the typical localities in the province implementing the model of "Traffic Safety Wedding". Mr. Nguyen Bien Thuy, Secretary of Tan Yen District Youth Union said: "Understanding the needs of Youth Union members to organize weddings, the grassroots Youth Union is responsible for coordinating with local authorities and organizations to help families organize weddings. At the same time, Youth Union members are arranged to watch over vehicles and direct traffic at the wedding area. To raise people's awareness when participating in traffic, billboards and messages about ensuring the Road Traffic Law are placed at the entrance of the theater.
In addition, the organization took the opportunity to integrate propaganda about traffic culture into the art program at the wedding. The wedding procession should not be too large, and motorbikes must wear helmets. Realizing the significance of the model, many families agreed and responded. In 2022, the whole district had nearly 100 weddings organized according to this model.

According to the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, the traffic safety situation in the province has recently become more complicated. Most of the serious accidents occurred with people aged 18-40.
For example, in Viet Yen district, there are cases of young people driving without helmets, without license plates; driving at high speed, weaving, swerving, revving the engine... In response to this situation, the district police have stepped up patrols, control, and handling violations. Promoting the spirit of vanguard, Viet Yen District Youth Union actively implements traffic safety propaganda activities, including promoting the implementation of the "Traffic Safety Wedding" model.
Mr. Tran Van Binh, Secretary of the District Youth Union, said that from August 2023, all commune and town unions and affiliated units will organize at least one wedding according to the criteria of "Safety, economy, and good compliance with traffic safety laws". In particular, encourage young union members to organize weddings at village and hamlet cultural houses; do not set up wedding tents that encroach on the roadway; assign people to arrange parking and traffic control; do not abuse weddings to gather to drink alcohol and beer.
In Bac Giang City, every year, dozens of young people voluntarily organize traffic-safe, civilized, and economical weddings. Typical examples are in the wards of Tran Nguyen Han, Tho Xuong, Hoang Van Thu, etc. This activity both inherits the cultural beauty and customs of the nation and is consistent with new trends, ensuring regulations on civilized lifestyle. The situation of drinking alcohol and beer at weddings has decreased, and wearing helmets when going to and from the wedding is strictly enforced.
In Bac Giang, the "Traffic Safety Wedding" model was implemented many years ago and has been actively supported by the Youth Union. This is a large force and has contributed significantly to the implementation of a civilized lifestyle.
In the coming time, the Provincial Youth Union will continue to direct the implementation of the "Traffic Safety Wedding" model in localities; direct delegations at all levels to disseminate to young union members the regulations of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing civilized lifestyles in weddings. Union bases will encourage young union members to commit to limiting the use of alcohol and beer at weddings; not inviting too many guests; wearing helmets when picking up and dropping off the bride by motorbike; strictly complying with the Road Traffic Law.
