The contest is aimed at Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20), National Action Month on Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence (November 15 - December 15).

The contest was launched nationwide, aiming to attract and encourage all Vietnamese citizens living, working, studying and working in and outside the country; foreigners living, working, studying and working in Vietnam to compose songs towards a sustainable and equal future - where all individuals regardless of gender are respected, free to develop and can pursue all dreams without being hindered by any prejudice or barriers.
Ms. Caroline Nyamayemombe, Acting Head of Office of UN Women Vietnam said: “Music has an amazing ability to transcend all boundaries and connect our hearts in ways that normal language cannot.
The competition is an opportunity for artists, musicians and storytellers to use their creativity and talent to inspire a more inclusive and equal society."
The prize structure includes 1 First Prize worth 6,000,000 VND, 2 Second Prizes each worth 4,000,000 VND, 2 Third Prizes each worth 3,000,000 VND. In addition to the prize money, the winning song will receive the Logo of the Contest Organizing Committee.
Entries must be new creations, not entered in other creative contests, and have no disputes over copyright or authorship.
The Organizing Committee will accept entries from October 5, 2023 until 5:00 p.m. on November 16, 2023. The closing and award ceremony is expected to take place at the end of November 2023.
