A teacher accused of beating a student in Dak Lak was disciplined and fined more than 3.7 million VND.

On March 25, the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City informed that it had verified the case of a teacher at Ly Tu Trong Primary School who was accused of inappropriate behavior, using an electric wire to beat a student.
According to the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City, after receiving information from parents and the press about Ms. BTX abusing students, the City directed verification.
The results showed that the incident occurred in class 5D, where Ms. X. was the homeroom teacher. Ms. X. had inappropriate behavior with students as some parents reported.
Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee has issued a decision to administratively fine Ms. X. with a fine of 3.75 million VND.
Ms. X. has made a self-criticism and admitted her mistakes.
Ly Tu Trong Primary School has also suspended Ms. X. from teaching, held a review meeting and established a disciplinary council to consider disciplinary action. On March 17, the school's disciplinary council decided to reprimand Ms. X.
Previously, from the parents' feedback, the school verified.
According to the school report, Ms. X. admitted to hitting students with damaged electrical wires and threatening them with blackboard erasers. In addition, students were required to prepare crumpled paper to put in their mouths if they spoke.
According to the school, there is not enough basis to draw conclusions about some other issues that parents have reported.
