Son Tra District celebrates Da Nang Liberation Day

On the morning of March 26, the District Party Committee, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son Tra District held a meeting to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Da Nang City Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City.

This is an opportunity for the Party Committee, government and people of Son Tra district to review the glorious historical journey of the Party and the people, to commemorate the contributions of previous generations, and at the same time, to affirm the determination to continue the tradition, to build Son Tra homeland increasingly rich and beautiful, contributing to the sustainable development of Da Nang city. Since Da Nang became a city directly under the Central Government (1997), Son Tra has taken advantage of its geographical location, tourism potential and the attention of the Da Nang City Party Committee as well as the Central Government, to develop rapidly. Major projects such as Son Tra nature reserve, Linh Ung pagoda spiritual tourism area and coastal resorts have made Son Tra an attractive destination on the international tourism map. Son Tra district has made an important contribution to the city's sustainable development strategy according to Resolution 43, with the goal of building Da Nang into an ecological, modern, smart and livable urban area.
