Many students at Tue Duc School are suspected of being poisoned after meals at school.

Reflecting to reporters of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper , some parents whose children study at the Tue Duc School System at two campuses, Nguyen Thi Dinh and Luong Dinh Cua (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City), said that after the afternoon meal on March 25, some students at these two campuses, when returning home in the evening, showed symptoms such as: stomachache, nausea and diarrhea.

These parents added that some children had symptoms of severe diarrhea, they suspected their children were poisoned so they proactively took their children to the hospital for examination and testing.

On the afternoon of March 26, speaking with reporters, a media representative of the Tue Duc school system confirmed the above incident.

Specifically, according to this person, after a light meal in the early afternoon of March 25, when returning home that evening, some students of these two facilities experienced symptoms such as nausea and diarrhea.

According to the report of the homeroom teachers, both campuses have a total of 20 students with these symptoms, of which the Luong Dinh Cua campus has more than 10 students, the remaining 3 students are from Nguyen Thi Dinh campus. On the morning of March 26, 3 students were asked to be absent from school by their parents because they had to take them to the hospital for a check-up.

According to the school's media representative, specifically, 4 students at Luong Dinh Cua campus and 2 students at Nguyen Thi Dinh campus had to be hospitalized. They also returned home today, March 26. These students had symptoms of abdominal pain and diarrhea, but more severe than other students; suspected digestive disorders.

According to this person, the remaining students are in stable health and are attending school as usual. All treatment and medical examination costs for students affected during this period will be paid by the catering suppliers for both campuses to their parents. The representative of the Tue Duc school system added that the school has also taken food samples for testing and the results will be available after 7 days, and at the same time, a report will be compiled and sent to the Department of Education and Training (GD-DT) of Thu Duc City.

It is known that on the afternoon of March 25, students of both these campuses had Korean fried vermicelli and strawberry yogurt for snack. The unit providing meals for both of these campuses of Tue Duc School is Ha Thanh International Service Joint Stock Company (Haseca).

Responding to a reporter's question about whether to continue serving meals at school in the following days, this representative said that after reporting to the Department of Education and Training and listening to comments, the school will still serve meals at school, but in the direction of changing the menu, replacing it with light dishes suitable for the current hot weather.
