According to Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Thanh, Director of Thong Nhat Hospital, the hospital was established nearly 50 years ago, is a Grade I general hospital, under the Ministry of Health. Thong Nhat Hospital has the function of providing emergency services, medical examination, treatment, and rehabilitation for mid-level and high-ranking officials of the Party and State in Ho Chi Minh City, provinces and cities in the Southern region.

Recently, the Hospital has paid special attention to focusing on developing scientific research and applying scientific advances to serve medical examination and treatment, including liver transplantation techniques.

Therefore, the Hospital hopes to receive support and experience sharing from the 108 Military Central Hospital - one of the country's leading centers for organ transplantation - on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Hospital's founding (November 1, 1975 - November 1, 2025).

Responding from the Director of Thong Nhat Hospital, Major General, Professor, Dr. Le Huu Song, Director of 108 Central Military Hospital shared that 108 Central Military Hospital is very pleased to have the next unit come to learn liver transplant techniques at the Hospital.

108 Military Central Hospital wants to be friends and cooperate with all hospitals inside and outside the military. With the mission of the two hospitals being to take care of the health of senior leaders of the Party and State, through this cooperation, it is hoped that the staff of the two hospitals will see their responsibilities more, especially in developing new and advanced techniques to help improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment of patients.

According to the agreement, 108 Military Central Hospital will support and cooperate in training as proposed by Thong Nhat Hospital.

The immediate task will focus on organizing and implementing liver transplant techniques at Thong Nhat Hospital. In addition, the two hospitals will share experiences in many other specialized fields.

At the meeting, some activities of patient care and service were also discussed and shared to improve the quality of medical services.

During the emergency surgery, the doctors treated the penetrating chest wound of the lung parenchyma; the pleural cavity and pericardium were cleaned, sutured, and a pleural drain was placed. Do Duc Thang, Department of Thoracic Surgery, Xanh Pon General Hospital - who participated in the surgical team at Dong Anh General Hospital, said that with the above patient's injuries, if he was not treated promptly and transferred directly to a higher level, there was a high risk of death on the way.

Fortunately, the patient was given timely emergency care at the primary level, with the smooth coordination of the surgical team with departments throughout Dong Anh General Hospital and support from Xanh Pon General Hospital... as well as timely preparation of blood transfusion during the emergency, so the patient's life was saved.

Inspect and examine facilities providing medical examination and treatment services, aesthetic services, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.

The interdisciplinary inspection team of the Department of Health of Quang Tri province has just conducted an inspection of compliance with legal regulations at a number of establishments providing medical examination and treatment services, cosmetic services, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and functional food businesses in the area.

Within 13 days, the interdisciplinary team inspected 8 establishments, thereby discovering 4 establishments violating the following errors: trading in goods of unknown origin, violating regulations on prohibited acts in advertising activities, and buying and selling imported goods with original labels in foreign languages ​​but without secondary labels in Vietnamese.

The authorities imposed administrative fines on the violating establishments totaling more than VND33 million. Among them, the Gang Nam International Aesthetics business in Quang Tri (headquartered at 58 National Highway 9, Ward 1, Dong Ha City) was fined VND15 million.

Imported products with original labels in foreign languages ​​but without secondary labels in Vietnamese are sold at Dong Hai Pharmacy.

In addition, Dong Hai Pharmacy (headquartered at 227 Tran Hung Dao, Ward 2, Quang Tri town) was also fined 15 million VND for administrative violations.

This pharmacy was penalized for violations of regulations on mandatory content on product labels or mandatory content that must be displayed on labels according to the nature of the goods, violations of regulations on the rights and responsibilities of pharmaceutical business establishments, violations of regulations on retail sale of drugs and medicinal materials (retail establishments selling prescription drugs without a prescription...).

The inspection is aimed at preventing smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, and goods of unknown origin. At the same time, it is aimed at preventing the provision of unlicensed health and beauty services, and unqualified services in the area, as well as handling medical service establishments that violate administrative regulations in the field of environmental protection.

In the coming time, the unit will continue to strengthen coordination in disseminating and popularizing laws and specialized regulations so that organizations and individuals participating in providing services can grasp and properly implement regulations.

The Department of Health also regularly exchanges and provides information and documents with relevant units to organize and develop plans, solutions and measures in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods (especially acts of false advertising and trade fraud taking place on information technology and e-commerce platforms).
