2On the evening of July 28, Team 7 of the Economic Police Department coordinated with the Economic Police Team of Thanh Xuan District Police to conduct a surprise inspection of house number 21 in the X16 apartment complex (Ministry of Public Security) in lane 93, Hoang Van Thai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi. At the time of the inspection, the authorities discovered and seized nearly 200 N2O gas cylinders of various types and many decanting equipment.

At that time, the authorities discovered and caught Tran Quoc Anh (born in 1990; residing in Thanh Hoa province) decanting N2O gas from 40kg cylinders to 5kg and 10kg cylinders to deliver to customers.
Statistics show that there are 136 N2O gas cylinders weighing 5kg, 10kg and 51 cylinders weighing 40kg. According to Team 7's estimate, this is the largest seizure of illegal N2O gas cylinders discovered by the unit since the beginning of the year.
Working with the authorities, Tran Quoc Anh could not present legal invoices and documents, as well as a chemical business license as prescribed. The total value of the infringing goods was nearly 30 million VND. The authorities also seized many large suitcases, backpacks, and uniforms of technology car companies... which were items that the group cleverly disguised with laughing gas cylinders inside for delivery.
These gas cylinders are mainly sold to individuals using at home in Hanoi through social networks. The average price sold by Tran Quoc Anh is from 300,000 - 500,000 VND/cylinder of 5 - 10kg.
All evidence was seized and the people involved continued to be identified for handling.
