Great significance in the context of lack of schools

In the context of a lack of schools, the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a cluster of 3 new schools in Tan Binh District is even more important.

In November 2023, speaking with Thanh Nien Newspaper reporter, Mr. Phan Van Quang, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Tan Binh District, said that based on educational planning, this district still lacks 25 schools (4 kindergartens, 11 primary schools and 10 secondary schools).

In recent years, the population of Tan Binh District has increased steadily, especially in Wards 15, 13, 14 and wards with many apartment buildings. In particular, in the 2023-2024 school year, the entire district will increase by about 1,000 students entering grade 6, but the lack of schools will affect the students' places to study and the implementation of the 2018 General Education Program. Currently, the entire district does not have any advanced, internationally integrated secondary schools.

The construction of a cluster of 3 schools including kindergarten, primary school, and secondary school in Ward 6 according to national school standards, advanced schools, and international integration, ensures the target according to Decision No. 07/2022 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. When the cluster of 3 schools is completed, Tan Binh District will reach 294 classrooms/10,000 people; closer to the target of 300 classrooms/10,000 people.

At the meeting with voters on December 5 of the delegation of Unit 22 (HCMC People's Council) with the topic "the current state of facilities serving educational work", many voters of Tan Binh District reflected that the public works land of Ward 6 in the past had been left to grow wild and wild, which was a waste, and that the environment was polluted by waste, and they wished to soon start building national standard schools on this land for the future of their children.
