The working delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade donated 10 billion VND to build a school in Thai Nguyen.

On the morning of August 15, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien and the working delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade had a working session in Thai Nguyen province.

Within the framework of the working program, the working delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade presented Khe Mo Kindergarten (Dong Hy district) with funding to build a 2-storey head office building with 8 classrooms, worth 10 billion VND.

Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province Trinh Viet Hung witnessed the ceremony to present the Headmaster's house and 2-storey 8-room classroom building of Khe Mo Central Kindergarten, Dong Hy district, Thai Nguyen province to Hoa Phat Group worth 10 billion VND.

Khe Mo is a mountainous commune located in the northeast of Dong Hy district, with about 1,900 households, divided into 13 hamlets including 8 ethnic groups (Kinh, Tay, Nung, San Chay, San Diu, Hoa, Hre, Muong). Due to the terrain being mainly mountainous, transportation between locations is still difficult, the majority of students here are ethnic minorities, people's lives are mainly agricultural.

Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien and accompanying units hope that the construction of this school will soon be completed and effectively exploited by the school, helping students have a spacious, complete and safe learning environment, contributing to bringing better material and spiritual conditions to care for the future generations of the country.

On behalf of the provincial leaders and local people, Mr. Trinh Viet Hung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province acknowledged the sentiments and timely attention of the Ministry of Industry and Trade's working delegation in joining hands to modernize educational facilities in the area. Thereby, contributing to the locality's effective implementation of the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021 - 2030; Phase I, from 2021 - 2025.

Previously, at a working session with the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien highly appreciated that in recent times, the Party Committee and government have exploited and promoted their potentials and strengths quite well to promote local economic development and emerge as a new growth pole of the country, leading the provinces in the region and ranking 4th in the country in terms of industrial production value.

Minister Nguyen Hong Dien suggested that Thai Nguyen province focus on developing the basic industries in which the province has strengths, taking advantage of the advantages and achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digital transformation and focusing on handling environmental issues, ensuring sustainable development.

The province needs to accelerate the transformation of the internal industrial structure, especially the processing and manufacturing industry, towards promoting groups of industries and industrial products applying high technology, with high added value, clean technology and producing export goods. Strengthen the linkage and cooperation between domestic enterprises and FDI enterprises in the investment process, gradually participating deeply in the global production, supply and value chains.

Along with that, promote the development of supporting industries to serve key industries and strengths of the province and region, meet input materials, and increase the domestic proportion in industrial production.

In the field of trade, it is necessary to guide and support local enterprises to make good use of opportunities from FTAs ​​of which Vietnam is a member, especially new-generation FTAs, to develop production and expand export markets.

Also within the framework of the working trip in Thai Nguyen, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien and the delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade visited and surveyed the factory of TNG Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company (TNG Textile and Garment) located in Son Cam 1 Industrial Cluster, Son Cam Commune, Thai Nguyen City.

Minister Nguyen Hong Dien praised TNG Company for its positive contributions to the economy of Thai Nguyen province and job creation for workers. He also said that the company is playing a pioneering role in digital transformation, green transformation, making good use of free trade agreements, and its export products have established a firm foothold in "difficult" markets.

The Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with domestic functional units and foreign trade offices, will accompany and support TNG Company to expand its market, contributing to bringing Vietnamese brands further.
